Mumbai: Karan patel, who made a comeback on the small screen with prime time daily soap Yeh Hai Mohabbatein', is all set to mark a new chapter in his life.
The heartthrob of television is due to tie the knot with television actor Ankita Bhargava. The duo met through families knowing each other and before they knew, cupid struck these stars.
Currently marriage is on the cards for Karan and Ankita. In a candid chat with DC, he put an end to the rumours doing rounds by confirming the news. "Yes, Ankita and I are getting married and this is a new chapter in my life. I am looking forward to it without a doubt, can't wait, she is a beautiful girl, a friend more than that my would be' wife," he shared.

Telly town's new love birds, Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava, are set to take nuptial vows with each other. While this piece of news came as a shocker for everyone, but yes, the love birds are set to tie the knot.
Karan Patel, who is seen on Star Plus' Ye Hai Mohabbatein, and Ankita Bhargava, who was last seen on Sony TV's Ek Nayi Pehchaan, met through a common friend and now are madly in love with each other.While Karan has confirmed about his conjugal to a leading tabloid, we contacted Ankita to know her side of the story to which she said, "Yes, we are getting married with each other. It's an arranged marriage as it was our parents decision but now after we met, it has become an arranged cum love marriage. It's like a fairy tale that we met for the first time and agreed for the marriage as we liked each other at a first meeting. Though we come from the same industry, but have never met each other or worked together. Now we will be spending our entire life together."
She further adds, "On March 14, we will be doing our Roka and after 2 days will be getting engaged. Our marriage date is fixed as on May 3."
Both of them seem to be very happy and excited about their marriage and hence Karan stated sharing his happiness,"Wonder why we took so long to find our soulmates! But it was worth the wait! @TheKaranPatel weds @AnkzBhargava."

Shocked and surprised...tell us about this sudden development in your love story?
Well, not much to tell. I met Ankita very recently and somehow things just worked out for us. I think this is what is called a miracle. I have found a friend and soul mate in Ankita and I don't think I could have asked for more. The wait has definitely got its worth (smiles).
So did Aly Goni really play cupid?
Yes, he was the one who got us together. Aly is like a real brother to me and like every family member, he too wanted to see me settled. I don't know when these things got transpired in his mind, and he introduced us. He has been instrumental in finding love for both of us.
Since Abhay Bhargav (Ankita's father) is also in the show, we thought he was the one who arranged' this alliance.
I have no idea what has been cooking between Aly and Abhayji. They had been talking about it, I guess, and I am glad they did (smiles).

Yes, I am very happy and am sure people can sense that. Ankita and I are starting a new life, holding no grudges against anyone and would also want people to have nothing against us. It is a beautiful and positive start and I would want people to give us their good wishes.
What about Kamya, how is she doing? Did you talk to her?
As I told you, we would want a positive start with nothing holding us back. We are happy and hope others too find happiness in their life. Everyone deserves to be happy.
So is 2 May the date for the wedding?
We haven't really zeroed upon the date, but yes it would be around that time only.
We also hear that you will get engaged in April?
(Laughs) Well, the roka ceremony is this Saturday (14 March).

Yes, I think this is the best example of destiny. You suddenly meet someone and things fall in place so beautifully that you plan to settle down, well it all seems a miracle. Imagine the person who played my father-in-law onscreen for a year will now be my sasur ji in real life too. It is a great moment for us, our family and everyone close to us.
And finally now that Aly found your soulmate, will you return favours by finding one for him?
Of course, I think now I will definitely have to find a girl for him. Yeh to banta hai!

Earlier today we told you how Yeh Hai Mohabbateins Karan Patel has broken up with Kamya Punjabi to marry Ankita Bhargava, who was dating Aman Varma earlier. The actor even confirmed the news by saying, "Yes, Ankita and I are getting married and this is a new chapter in my life. I am looking forward to it without a doubt, can't wait, she is a beautiful girl, a friend more than that my would be' wife."
Shocked by this news, I somehow digested it and decided to call up Kamya to know her reaction on this. "Hi Kamya, this is Vinod from BollywoodLife," I said. And curt came the reply, "Vinod, I don't want to talk about anything right now." Obviously, I wasn't surprised by her reaction. After all, it's quite disheartening to be heart broken, not once but twice.
Yes, as you will already know, Kamya was married to Bunty Negi. The two even had a daughter. However, this marriage hit a rocky patch after which Kamya and Karan started dating. But Karan's parents apparently weren't happy with the idea of their son marrying someone who has had a broken marriage and already has a child, which is why their relationship came to an end.
