With all due respect - I must disagree. Samrat changing or not changing is not really the premise of the show - this is Urmi's story. A story of a simple small town girl who like many others before and after her live their life according to their family's expectation - study to be marketable on the marriage market, brought up conditioned to believe that marriage is the ultimate goal in a girls life - career if those families are liberal enough to allow their daughters to pursue one - is secondary.

Urmi was just like that - she got married to a MCP Samrat who is a beast. She tried to make things work but she hit her breaking point and HAD to take a stand and walk away. The show is to inspire countless women in that same scenario across the world that you do have a choice - you always have a choice to break away - it won't be easy but it'll be worth it in the end.

More over I think this is much more realistic - Men like Samrat do not change. They are manipulative and only appear to be "changed" just to get what ever it is that they need to get done.

While I do agree that the MCP mentality needs to be changed, this is not the right platform for that - this is about Urmi not Samrat.
