Sanam Saeed may have just been offered Raees first? I read on a Pakistani site that another A list Pakistani actress was offered Raees first but turned it down..it may have just been Sanam Saeed if that and this are anything to go by.

That was my thought too, else how could Sanam hv got her hands on the script to read the role? And trust Sanam to turn down a role opposite SRK! Though I personally feel that it should not matter who is in a film, but the role and movie itself shld be of good, but it wld hv been a good foothold to get into Bollywood as I am sure it will be for Mahira. Anyways guess Sanam ka hisaab-kitaab kuch aur hi hai.🤔

I do think Sanam Saeed was somewhere offered Raees..definitely before Mahira or else there's no other way she would've gotten a hold of the script. Sanam and Mahira aren't really good friends or anything where one would be sharing their offers with the other anyway. I also am not surprised if Sanam was offered this and she turned it down. She has her own criteria when selecting a project where production house and fellow actors are counted as secondary to the actual role and plot of the film/show.

I think if Sanam has an idea of what Raees' script had to offer, then she was probably considered for the role somewhere. Or else I don't see any other way for her to really know anything about the script or role because actors and actresses otherwise don't go around talking about their roles randomly (in this case, that would be applied to Mahira ..I doubt she's leaking info on her role in Raees). So, the only other thing that would make sense is that Sanam was also offered ...and considering the fact that ZGH did better in India..that doesn't sound far fetched to me at all that Sanam MAY have been offered ahead of Mahira but turned it down. Yes, whether or not the speculations of a supposed actress feeling upset over not getting the limelight as well for being offered the role is true?...that's another speculation altogether. If Sanam was offered, she could have had many reasons to have turned the project down..point is, if any other Pakistani actress was offered the role first my bets are on Sanam Saeed for obvious reasons..and this interviews gives some scoop to back that up.
