Sanam Saeed - Valentine Special!

A: My Hum TV drama called Diyar e Dil which is almost done. Then there are 3 Films, one is a small project by Rehan Sheikh, one is Mah e Meer, then there is another film which is by a Lahore based group and it should be released by March. Plans are to do lots of more work, I've been offered many things but nothing that I've taken up ...
Q.2 How was your experience with Zindagi Gulzar Hai?
A: I think my character was quite easy as I am a strong woman who stands up for herself, it was fun doing it. I believe in Kashaf to what she does and I enjoyed playing it. It was an excellent experience with an efficient team, good director and a great cast!
Q.3 Tell us about your upcoming films
A: The film which I did for the Lahore based team was different, exciting and with great people. The film is basically a rom-com with a bit of action, so I'm really looking forward to it. Plus all my films are different from each other. In Mah e Meer it was conflict, the character was there for a reason and in the other film I don't know how much weight it has. So I also had fun doing them. Although the film which was shot in Mauritius was well-organised with a good script. So definitely, it would be the best among all!

Q.4 Tell us about your Bollywood rejections and is anything in the process now?
A: I have not had much time to audition or read scripts for the films I have been offered. When the time is right and the script grabs me I'd love to do an exciting project in Bollywood. I'd like to do a character in India that brings something new to the table ... That we as Pakistani actors can give them! I'm looking for a character with a substance, a moral with some kind of lesson to learn from! I read some scenes form Raees script and that is something that us Pakistani actors maybe be well suited for. I'm glad Mahira is doing it. She'll do us proud!
Q.5 Who are your favourite co-stars and working in which project was your best experience?
A: All my co-stars have been awesome! Samina Aapa, Aamina Sanam Baloch, Fawad, Adeel, Mohib, Ayesha and many more! Talkhiyan and Zindagi Gulzar Hai were my favourite projects!
Q.6 Are you considering your career as a musician?
A: Not at all, I'm not a musician. I worked with Coke Studio as a background singer. I only sing when the character demands me to!
Q.7 TV vs Film vs Theatre?
A: Theatre! No comparison at all because the whole process, in which learning, live audience, costumes, rehearsals are involved, I'm really familiar with it! Films too can be exciting but I'm getting used to them right now ...

Q.8 How has marriage life been and how did you find the one
A: It's only been 2 months, but I'm sure it'll be amazing, I picked someone I trust, not someone from the Showbiz Industry. I choose not to speak about it in the public, as he's a bit shy, all I can say is that I've known him for a long time!
Q.9 Five Words you think describe your personality well
A: I love change, I love life, I'm easy going, I can be stubborn at times and I'm impulsive!
Q.10 Any message for your fans?
A: I'm proud of you, what you are doing makes you happy and I guess do what you believe in, not what the society forces you to do! Believe in yourself because you can lie to others, but you can never lie to yourself. Wake up in the morning happy of what you're doing!
Thank You :)
