Last night's episode talked about how we excuse children and their behaviors because of their age, but we forget that when people get older how child-like they become too. We treat them and their behaviors differently because we think they're too old to be acting like that.
It's really hard to understand old age because we are young and are not there yet, but we can learn to be sympathetic towards them. One day we will be old too, and we would like the same respect and for someone to understand us. It's really hard to understand a point in life that you have not been to yet, but we still have to try to understand it.
It's a very good message and a very current issue. I see it here so many times that grown up children will fight with their parents or leave them in nursing homes because they get fed up with their parents. It's a nice reminder from NCW that when you were a child and unaware of your parents' sacrifices for you, they still loved you and didn't throw you out. Now your parents are at a point where they now need you to take care of them because they do not understand things like they used to do. It's your turn now to kind of be like a parent to them. I don't mean "like parent" in a bossy, disrespectful way, but I mean you have be the mature, level-headed person now for them because they need you.
It was a little bit emotional for me to watch this. I don't want to have to think about my parents becoming old, but it will happen too. I pray I can be like Bhagwan Das for my parents too.
