Priyanka Chopra's father, Ashok Chopra, paid a visit to the Oshiwara police station last night (June 13) in an attempt to settle the case filed by his daughter's ex-secretary. Prakash Jaju. Jaju, who was hired as Priyanka's secretary in 2002, filed a case against the Chopras alleging that he was not given his proper payment.
According to a source, "Priyanka's father basically wants to end the matter but is not willing to settle the dues that Prakash says he hasn't paid."
Priyanka's problems with Jaju started when she realized that he was getting too personal with her. It is said that Jaju suffers from mental illnesses such as schizophrenia and depression. In September 2004, Prakash even told a newspaper about him and Priyanka apparently having an affair.
Priyanka finally decided to terminate his contract after 2 years of enduring him to which Prakash responded by promptly resigning. It is reported that he then started threatening the actress saying that he would damage her professional career and personal life.
Even so, it is clear that the Chopras are not those who part with their money easily. They refuse to budge on this matter and have not paid Jaju what he has been after them for all this while.
After working with Priyanka Chopra, Prakash then went on to handling Celina Jaitley's work but the secretary was let go there as well as Celina was unhappy with his work.
