Anyone miss the 'Indian' Look @ Award Functions?

After seeing the fashion sense of the latest filmfare awards, I really miss those times when you would see actresses wearing Indian outfits. I mean don't they look most graceful and elegant in our own culture's outfits? Seriously...I miss the times when our actresses would sport the Indian look...Don't you?

Definitely! Nowadays, they are very conscious of the worldwide reach of Bollywood. Therefore they ape Hollywood's gowns and dresses by international designers

I love the Indian look too! I agree that these days a lot of actresses are wearing more Western clothing, but some actresses, like Sonam, Deepika, etc. have been wearing really beautiful sarees as well 😊

Ash's white chikan sari is a beauty. No-one looks as exquisite & as comfortable in saris, as Ash. Whites make her look like an angel.

P.S. Sonali's white-gold AJSK sari is BEAUTIFUL! So simple, yet luxurious. I WANT!!!!! 😭

Ummm..thank you so much for bringing this up CPR...want the Desi look back ONSCREEN AND OFFSCREEN! Nothing looks better on an Indian woman than a sari, period. Hate how whitewashed the industry has become...

Sometimes I feel India is trying wayyy to hard to Westernize. Not appreciating all the enriching culture they hold. NRI's are actually not even that Modern. LOL. Sometimes its mind-boggling to see what people in india are doing.

I MISS THE INDIAN LOOK VERY MUCH. Recently I loved Deepika's black Sari she wore at an award function with her gold jhumka and special golden clutch. :)
