Gosh! Men! She didn't know how to work this, any of this! She was confused by the fleeting feels that she was going through from past few days, well from the day she joined, from the day she laid eyes on him, the CEO himself, the Sexy Devil of that empire! Precisely.

How she was to fight this urge to barge into his cabin and give him some piece of her mind? Why was this man so weird? Why she had to think about this stupid sexy devil so much? Why bother? It wasn't like he was alone and none to take care of him... it was rather opposite, any hot bitch would be just waiting for an opportunity to seize the moment! And well that thought just soured the sweet feeling...

Darn! She looked away, as she noticed him watching her, she turned scarlet on the knowledge that she was caught staring at him, again!

She grabbed the pen and paper in order to pretend that she was busy, that she was not just staring, rather to busy thinking... but thinking what? Secretaries and thinking never goes in same line, or does it? This was absolutely stupid! Absolutely and utterly foolish! However the CEO was neither stupid nor foolish as a matter factly.

She looked up, only to catch him looking at her, or rather staring at her with that hot smirk plastered on his beautiful lips, mirth in his eyes or rather wickedness, she flushed at this knowledge and also at the way he was staring like they were lovers.

This was weird! She thought. Her hands were busy in fidgeting into her dupatta, her heart was racing with unknown turmoil, this was so new a feeling, this butterfly in stomach feeling was so exciting, she was feeling jittery, her whole being was on fire, just by his one stare! This was impossible, there was no such description in any novel she had read so far! Was it even right feeling or was she just sick?

And then her intercom rang bringing her from his thoughts and turmoil.

"Hello?" she said calming herself.

"Sure Mihir, I'll inform him. Aren't you going to tell him yourself? ... No that's okay actually, I was just wondering... Anyways, I am on it. ... Yes I think may have to, you know Vandu akka's engagement is on Friday, so yes perhaps I'd have to take an off without doubt. Hey... I'll talk to you later, boss's coming..." and she hurriedly hanged up the call.

"Miss Iyer..." he said, but before he could continue she hurriedly stood up in order to acknowledge him, and as she stood up the chair fell back on ground with a loud noise, attaining the attention of whole office and his. He raised his brow at her asking if she was okay, while she just closed her eyes in sheer embarrassment and bit her lower lip in order to lessen the feeling.

However he couldn't help but chuckle lightly at her weird behavior.

"Are you okay Miss Iyer?" he asked half in doubt and half in mirth.

"Ye..ah! Yes!" she said standing straight, looking anywhere but in the eye.

"Did you print the dictation for me?" he asked changing the topic.

"Yes sir..." and immediately she handed over the paper to him. And then while he was just leaving she interrupted, "Sir Mihir Sir had asked me to inform you that that Mehta's will be reaching in half an hour.

He nodded at her and turned away to go, but then halted and turned towards her and whispered, "...and about your reaction just moments ago, don't' be embarrassed about it please, It's really okay Miss Iyer, this is common effect that I have on most of the women." He chuckled and went off.

While she just stood there shocked, OMG, he knew it was him... she closed her eyes in acute embarrassment.

She could feel his stare the whole time until he was called in for meeting. She was told that no calls to be connected to him unless they were from Ruhi or his parent.

It were only five minutes that the meeting had begun when Nancy, one of the internee came running and said, "Ishita... Sir wants you in the conference room, he asked you to bring Paper and pen that is if he needed you to take some points.

Ishita nodded and took pen and her note pad and handed her duty to Meenakshi, another intern, and followed Nancy to the CR.

As she entered the CR, she was shocked to see a woman or rather a beautiful woman sitting just beside him, smiling flirtatiously. And not only that, but her hand obnoxiously resting on his, the sight filled her with venomous jealously, nothing no more was the slightest that she noticed around.

And then, her furious stare on their laced hands was broken by his voice, "Ishita, come here." Which she did, and stood their looking at him, and then he shook his head and said, "Sit." And she literally slumped down, while he smiled amused at her 'Grumpy-face', quite confused why she was off.

The meeting began, and she could see them, and especially her and her evil hand from corner of her eye. She was angry, jealous and hurt... she didn't know how to cope up with so many emotions when the personification of all three was just right infront of her.

And then, she looked up at him, and was shocked to see him looking at her confused and concerned. She blushed and looked down at her knotted fingers.

And then it happened suddenly, her breath seemed to stop, and her heart lurched outside her chest, and her eyes popped out of sockets in shock and her whole body came on fire as she felt his hand on hers under the table. She looked at him shocked, while to her surprise he was looking ahead to the presentation with a poker face, giving nothing away! This was so much of a shock, her palpitations increased and her cheeks burned of blush and she flushed. She could feel butterflies in her stomach, the jittery feeling was back.

What the hell is he doing! She thought. She didn't know what to do, so best she thought and started to pull her hand out of his warmth. She looked at him pleading, while he was looking straight onwards, but she could see the lines of irritation marring his forehead as she tried to pull out.

She couldn't say anything for they were in meeting; she couldn't help but blush at his action. No matter how awkward it was, but she couldn't deny special feeling of his action. And then she looked at his other hand that was on the table, while that woman's hand resting on his, but she couldn't help but feel satisfaction that his hand was cold to her touch.

And her eyes widened as he started to rub his thumb round and round on her knuckles sending her to other planet. She could feel queasy between her thighs, and her eyes closed involuntary. A chill ran down her backbone as his fingers caressed her soft skin of the back of the palm. Her breathing shallow, and cheeks flushed.

And then one of the slim guy with silver rimmed glasses stood there, expectantly waiting for Raman to say something. Raman, reluctantly let go of her soft hands and rested his chin on it, and looked at him and asked few questions regarding the queries that might come up to his men and later asked the guy with silver glasses to present him with graphics of the same only then he will send a word.

While Ishita, who was brutally brought back to earth was looking at him with widened eyes, his demeanor composed, like nothing happened and his whole concentration was on the discussion and presentation. This was surprising!

He dismissed the meeting and stood up and with him, the gorgeous Medusa also stood up and followed him out of the CR, when Raman stopped at the exit and looked back at her, who was now collecting the files, helping, the thing she was good at, Nancy. Raman smiled and called her, "Ishita... I want you in my cabin" and then looked back in the cabin and continued, "...and that is not your job. You are appointed for me, so I would appreciate you to follow me, now."

"Si..r" she stuttered and immediately looked down, seeing him smirk.

After few moments she knocked at his cabin, and entered, like always without waiting, and was shocked to notice that the gorgeous Medusa who stood just beside him just withdrew her arms from his neck, while he sat on his CEO chair, looking at the laptop screen, and just looked up as she entered, his eyes warm and a small smile spread on his lips.

"Well don't you just wait outside until we call you?" the Gorgeous Medusa said, and she remained gorgeous no more after.

"I am sorry..."Ishita said and turned to exit, when he called in boring voice, "Stay, Miss Iyer."

She turned towards him, and then looked at the Gorgon Medusa doubtfully and thought, I must do what Raman sir is asking, and after all he is the boss!

She moved towards the couch and sat down gracefully, not once sparing a glance over Medusa, even when she knew that her face would be most amusing thing to see.

"RKB! This is most insulting... You must answer me and I deserve privacy with you... you can't just ignore me!" she shrieked.

"There is nothing to talk about, nothing to spare a moment more, Shagun. I have already made it clear that there is no scope at all for anything between us. There never was." He said and continued typing, like that discussion was over.

"Raman! How can you say that? I Love you... I told you... you can't just reject me... No one has ever rejected me!" she said angrily and embarrassed.

While making Ishita uncomfortable for intruding, the Gorgon was actually right, she did deserved privacy to a discussion like this. This was embarrassing, but also dejecting.

If he's not interested in a woman like her! CORRECTION. If he's not interested in a gorgeous woman like her, than probably she has just no chance! Not that she was looking or hoping for any...or was she?

She stood up from the couch to leave them alone to discuss but was stopped by him, "Where do you think you are going Miss Iyer?" his voice stony strict.

"Si..r I thought perhaps Ma'am would be more comfortable with me out..." but she couldn't complete when he cut in calmly,

"But I never gave you permission to leave Ishita... Sit back. I want you here, understand, or should I make you?"

She just nodded and sat back uncomfortably.

After few moments the woman named Shagun left the cabin in a huff and irritation but with unshed tears, making soft corner in Ishita's heart, and then she looked at him in a accusing way thinking, how brutal anyone can be? How easy is for men to break heart of girls who love them.

As Shagun left, she came forward towards his table and stood there and then asked, "What is it sir that you needed me for?" her tone clipped and too professional, nothing soft like it was used to be.

But he just looked up at her, surprised at her tone. And when he said nothing she just turned to move out, anguished at the way he treated the woman, but when she was at the threshold of the door she was pulled back by the iron grip on her arms and was pushed up against the wall of his cabin, while Ishita was too shocked by his action that she could utter not even a single syllable. They were nose to nose when he whispered icily, "You can't defy me Ishita. You can't treat me like this, you cannot look down at me like I am no less than a vermin."

"I never said you are... nor I looked down at you..." she managed to whispered back, frightened by his tone and anger in eyes.

"But you did, just now." He said accusing and continued, "What you want?"

"She loved you... it's so easy for boys to break hearts." She said meekly.

"What do you know..." he whispered looking lost. "What do you know about love, Ishita? It's a serious word, much more dark and deep than even death!"

While she looked at him, who was in trance, lost.

And then he looked at her and smiled, and said, "She is a social butterfly. Just day before she was in love with Ashok Khanna of Khanna enterprises. Poor guy had to bear her for six months." He chuckled at the fond memory of his business rival's breakup! Never letting go of her from his cage.

"Sir..." she said for him to let go of her.

"What?" he looked at her, he could feel her nervousness that was passing through her body, and her tremble at his proximity, her blush and her shyness.

"But you are not like her..." he whispered, more to himself than her. While her eyes widened at his statement, but she said nothing and just looked down.

He looked down at her, her beautiful spotless face, her blush, something that he liked about her so much. She was just same as she was on that last day of farewell, same soft smile, pinkish hue, beautiful sparkle in eyes, and such a warm personality.

Life is indeed a mystery, no one knows how things happen, how they come up, no one knows the way they would curve to make impossible possible.

They were in such proximity, lost in each other when the moment was intruded by the person they least expected. Subbu, who stood at the door silent, like he had lost the ability to speak, his eyes widened and mouth open in shock. When Raman backed off immediately and Ishita looked away from Door, blush caressing her alabaster cheeks. Awkward silent moment was broken by Raman who snapped at being interrupted or rather disturbed in his personal moment. "What?"

"Sir..." Subbu said and looked at Ishita uncomfortable and anguished whose back was towards him and continued, "...the finance as been double checked... I have written all the expenses that would most probably will be incurred by us, and if you could just once see..." And then kept the file on the table and looked at him expectantly.

"Great Subhramanium! I'll come back to you soon." And motioned him to leave, that he did after glancing at Ishita, fuming.
