Wow! What a dhamakedar episode! Amazing acting by all the actors and amazing directing by the director and amazing writing from the writers!
But, in my opinion, today Shastri Ji just took the cake! He was absolutely outstanding in the way he confronted Minty! Wow! He spoke so eloquently and respectfully, even when Minty was being completely terrible! All those points he made about Anushka being too good for Minty and how Minty is terrible person/ mother were so spot on! He came across as so much better than Minty! Today was just basti for Minty, even I felt embarrassed for her (along with feeling annoyed at how terrible she was).
Honestly, despite my love for AnuRaj, I think Shastri Ji was absolutely right today. There was no way AnuRaj's marriage would've been happy, especially not with the way Minty was going to interfere. She would've made AnuRaj's life a complete hell, together and separately. She needs to redeem herself (at least partially) and understand what a gem Anushka is before Anushka can be married into that house. As he said, a marriage isn't just between a boy and a girl, it's between families. As a father, Shastri Ji was completely right in his speech. Although I do feel the promise made by Anushka was completely unfair to both AnuRaj. I wonder how that will play out. I do hope that there isn't a long AnuRaj separation, they just got reunited.
Either way, outstanding work. I had often felt that this show, while good and consistent in general, had bouts of complete negativity that ruined it. And that was why I had stopped watching, the villains were taking over. But today was just a spectacular confrontation and insult of a villain/ negative character. If Shastri Sisters keeps pumping out episodes like this, I can guarantee this show can reach amazing heights!
