I used to have this problem and someone suggested adblock, and it's definitely worked for me. I use Safari for IF, and it's been about a month now and I haven't had this issue since so I would definitely check that out and see if it works, regardless of what browser you use.

omg, thank u!!! it happened again today so i installed this and it really works 😃 best solution so far and the page takes less than half the time to open as no more waiting for all those stupid ads to load 😃

It was happening to me and it was really pissing me off yesterday lol so if you are using iPad or iPhone, go to settings> safari > click clear history and website data and turn on block pop-ups. Hope it helped x
