No Siree!! Saying some purana, some version of Mbh wont do and my citation is not from wikipedia or internet thing! LOL, Its in Karna parva KMG and Karna's own words to Duryo.
All Shaivaite puranas unanimously agree that it was 'Pinaka' that was used by Shiva for vanquishing and killing Tripurasura and also Pinaka, the terrible is not Vijaya bow because Shiva bends his trishula in perfect semi circle and used it as a bow .
Vijaya bow was Shiva's bow ,we get to read on "Karna the great" fb page ; Is it still there around?

Vijaya was also not an ordinary bow , when Indra twangs it , in his war with daityas , they get a heart attack . the twang itself demoralises daityas.
I Know your questions are sarcastic but your question what the hell vijaya bow was doing in Karna's hands who was an adharmi?? there is no absolute hero or villian in mbh ...Karna earns Vijaya bow because of his utmost devotion towards his guru but at the same time gets a curse from him for telling a lie , not because he was 'brahmin' but because Karna calls himself a brahmin from Bhrigu clan , that really angers Parashurama . So an individual will get rewarded for good deeds and punished for bad and even then if you want to believe in fb pages rather than KMG then Suit yourself.

Its not about getting offended 😊
Arjun calling himself Brahmana is by actions and all five brothers were under Snataka vrata and who can take a vow of being Snataka is given in Jarasandha vadha parva

Are you saying one has to be born in Brahmana family to claim one? Karma ,not important?

Again a disclaimer I don't mean offence😉😆

@Sanskruti. Isn't Karna's story ultimately about rising beyond the ovarian lottery and excelling at what he set out to do? I would like to believe Karma is what makes us what we are 😃
