I'm not sure the two school systems are fully comparable - the Indian school systems seemed to prepare you further in advance than the american school systems - such as math courses of algebra and geometry are taught much earlier, same thing with the sciences - things I had already learned at the start of my secondary school in india were being taught to freshman level high schoolers here (keep in mind that my high school had a very low graduation rate so i'm not sure whether that was a product of poor school district). so someone who's had 6th grade education in india likely has a little bit more education than a 6th grade education in the US.

Karisma might have actually waited around for a couple of years. She was rumored to have been picked by Dharmendra to be cast opposite Bobby in his launch film Barsaat, the movie that eventually went to Twinkle Khanna. I still don't believe that she actually dropped out of 6th standard, if 6th standard is indeed the equivalent of 6th grade here in the U.S. That means she's basically uneducated. I know a lot of them drop out of college or even high school but later on you have retained some of that education. 6th grade is very very low. Yea I'm doubting that part of it.

And now to contradict myself, I don't know how true the rumors of her launch with Bobby are/were. It was widely speculated that the main reason she did the kind of movies she did for a long time was because none of the big banners would offer her any roles out of respect for the Kapoor family. Kapoor girls can't be in films and all that blah blah.

Boy do I know how to go off topic don't I? By the way, I'm still confused about Indian school systems.

Kisi ne Cherry "Gold medalist from Tufts bitches" ka naam hi nahin liya? Bahut na-insaafi hai! Given the glorious record of these other actresses, Cherry seems like a mini-genius by comparison.
Vidya Balan has a Masters degree and Taapsee Pannu is an engineer (from a pretty good engineering college no less). Nimrat Kaur attended one of the hardest to get into colleges in Delhi. Konkona Sen Sharma also graduated from one of the best known colleges in India.

Sab nahin hain anpadh.

Karishma Kapoor is listed as an alumni of Sophia College. So how is it that they always call her a 6th grade failure?😆

To be honest as an actor spending money on higher education is a waste of time and money. Am not even an actor and I feel like education for me is a waste of time. Am spending more than 4 years in college to be a teacher who gets paid 20 dollars an hour. Some people make the same amount without a degree.

Some of my cousins only studied until college, and they all did sales jobs for experience and then move to one job to another, and now one works in a bank even though her background is beauty/hair because she did that in college and the other did law A Levels not sure what it is called in your country, and she's a civil servant and I did education at university 2 years of experience but no pay because I did volunteer work and still looking for a job. It can happen! You don't always need a degree to get the best job, the right attitude, confidence and experience can get you anywhere even without a degree.
