Karisma might have actually waited around for a couple of years. She was rumored to have been picked by Dharmendra to be cast opposite Bobby in his launch film Barsaat, the movie that eventually went to Twinkle Khanna. I still don't believe that she actually dropped out of 6th standard, if 6th standard is indeed the equivalent of 6th grade here in the U.S. That means she's basically uneducated. I know a lot of them drop out of college or even high school but later on you have retained some of that education. 6th grade is very very low. Yea I'm doubting that part of it.


And now to contradict myself, I don't know how true the rumors of her launch with Bobby are/were. It was widely speculated that the main reason she did the kind of movies she did for a long time was because none of the big banners would offer her any roles out of respect for the Kapoor family. Kapoor girls can't be in films and all that blah blah.

To be honest as an actor spending money on higher education is a waste of time. Am not even an actor and I feel like education for me is a waste of time. Am spending more than 4 years in college to be a teacher who gets paid 20 dollars an hour. Some people make the same amount without a degree.
