While the year saw many hit and interesting, there were no dearth of flops either. From uninteresting plots to performing below expectations, there were a number of a flops in 2014. Here's our list...take a look:

Itti Si Khushi (Sony TV):

This modern-day love story started off on the right note, but failed to live up to our expectations. The plot and the lead pair of Anuj Sachdeva and Smriti Kalra tried to add freshness to the show, but it surely did not work out well.

Yudh ( Sony TV):

Amitabh Bachchan's small screen debut garnered a lot of attention. With Big B at the helm of things, we expected the thrilling miniseries to be a hit, but it flopped miserably. Borrowed heavily from American series 'Boss', the show failed to recreate the magic of the original.

Desh Ki Beti Nandini (Sony TV):

It started off as a promising political satire, which showed us the ins and outs of a powerful family. But when a middle class girl 'Nandini' entered the household as their 'bahu', the show took a drastic turn.

Airlines (Star Plus):

Despite a promising premise, the show couldn't take off at all. The new-age love story of pilots is a massive flop as Indian audiences cannot understand the concept of the show. Even former Bollywood actress Tulip Joshi couldn't keep the interest up.

Bh Se Bhade ( Zee TV):

The show dealt with the supernatural powers of a man called 'Bhade' who can heal anybody. He could do just about anything and nobody knew how he got his powers. The show, based on a Marathi short story, failed to interest us.

Baawre (Life OK):

The show didn't do well for the simple reason that the plot was a tried and tested one. Protagonists first hate each other before falling head over heels in love with each other. Yawn.

Nadaan Parinde Ghar Aaja (Life OK):

Based on an Army man's life and chronicles, the show explored the bond between brothers, lovers and extended families. While the show looked promising in the beginning, it was a miserable flop within weeks of being aired.

Chandrakant Chiplunkar Seedi Bambawala (SAB TV):

The story of a fireman who sets out to help others looked like a good and interesting plot, but it did not live up to the expectations of the audiences.

PS I Hate You (Channel V):

The story of two sisters and their mutual hate for each other did not cut with us at all. We are a country of 'sibling love', after all. But kudos to the channel for at least trying something different.

Dare 2 Date (Channel V):

The first edition of this dating show saw varied people come to the show to try to hook up with someone on the show. While their antics were exciting in the beginning, it turned out to be rather boring during this season.

Khushiyon Ki Gullakh Aashi ( Sony Pal):

The show dealt with something unique as 'adopting parents', but that did not go down well with the audiences.

Pia Basanti Re ( Sony Pal):

The story was about an aspiring footballer who is supported in her endeavour by his maid's daughter.

Rangrasiya (Colors):

The show that made a star out of Aashish Sharma did nothing for the audiences actually. It was promoted extensively, but the weak plot and average acting spoiled the show for us.

Mad In India (Star Plus):

Sunil Grover tried to recreate his 'Gutthi' act on this comedy show, but it fell flat. Despite good comedy, the show couldn't replace Comedy Nights With Kapil.

Gangs Of Hassepur (Zee TV):

The show promised a variety of elements. From stand-up acts to Kavi Sammelan, the show had a lot of potential. Despite former famous comedians on the show, it failed to capture our imagination.

I wonder what kind of acting they like that they dare to say about the RR cast like that?! They were brilliant! And the plot was strong , it's just the indian audiences' mindset is weak! Otherwise this story would've turned beautifully if given a chance! :) Who wrote this?! That guy who was the organizer of ITA is part of TC, right?! No wonder they all are the same!

OMG!!! Average acting ... I think the journalist is used to seeing wooden faces and expressions which is acting by their standards.

This is really absurd ... RR was not a flop...

Sanish did not need anything external to create chemistry .. I just saw MATH yesterday and there was a near undressing scene and I was like...will this crapfest really stop and it was cringeworthy... Parud never needed such cliched scenes to show romance. What new is being showed on TV as of now that they say there was nothing strong in the storyline... everyone is just bitching around in the shows of today.

There are several shows where the ML is not even emoting and the FL is just crying and crying... it is making me really annoyed to read this.

Sanaya and Ashish are both above their peers and one stupid journalist just can't take away all their hardwork by writing this stupid article.

Just like how there was no dearth of flops this year there is also no dearth of people pretending to be journalists.
When he says bad story and average acting spoiled the show for us I would really like to know who that US is. I guess. By us he meant only his own pathetic self and nobody else!!!

What the hell? 😡
RR was the only show out there with extraordinary acting not only by the leads but the supporting cast as well. They all managed to make us all believe that there was a Ranavat family somewhere in Chandangarh where lived two brothers. One had a stone hearted son who learn to live fully only when his soul mate entered his life. The other had a strong willed wife and three children. We believed that a man named Aman who always supported his friend and senior. There was a villain named Tejawat who could never regain his family's legacy after his crimes. And another villain who managed to broke all our hearts when he took Paro away from us.
This journalist is right but only partially. They was not much acting. The entire cast brought their characters to life. And this is so much better than anything else shown so far.
As far as promoting is concerned, our show was used to promote everything else on Rangeela with the annoying bubbles and banners.
