So is Kareena Kapoor really playing Sangeeta Bijlani in the Emraan Hashmi-starrer biopic on Azharuddin? Well, not yet, say sources.

A close friend of Kareena reveals, "It all depends on how much space the script has created for the female protagonist. At this juncture in her career, Bebo is not interested in playing the supporting female lead. She did do so in Singham Returns this year. But that was more because Rohit Shetty is a dear friend."

Apparently in Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kareena features in almost every frame with Salman Khan.

Adds her friend, "She is interested in doing the Azharuddin biopic because she hasn't done any biopics yet. She has also not worked with Emraan Hashmi so far. It all depends on the length of the role. She will be hearing the script from director Tony d'Souza as soon as she returns from her annual vacation in Gstaad in Switzerland."

For those who didn't know, Saif and Kareena make it a point to bring in the New Year at Gstaad every year, and it's without fail.

She will take a call on the Azharuddin biopic after she returns. Says the friend, "She's shooting in Karjat till December 23. Then she leaves for her holiday on December 25. She is trying to accommodate a narration before she leaves."
