"Theater Show"
"What were you planning to do?" She eyed him suspiciously!
"What are you looking at me like that for?" He grunted in a annoyed tone, a tetra pack of Frooti in his hand.
"You exactly know what I mean Randhir!" She narrowed her eyes and placed her hand over her waist, in a teacher like position.
"I exactly DONT know what you mean Sanyukta ! What's your problem anyway?" He looked at her and threw the tetra pack in the dustbin like scoring a basket in an almighty basket ball match.
"My biggest problem is you!" She whined and stomping her foot, went to the stage.
All this was taking place in the backstage, people waiting for the show to start. It was a theater show, the script writer being Sanyukta 's father's old friend. She was taken into the troop because of her interest in acting and her skill, which certainly amazed everyone each time.
Randhir was already in the troop from when he was a little boy. He had never let go of any opportunity to play a role in each and every play, even if he had to play a role of a non-living house or a tree!
But no one could suppress the eagerness and talent in him...!!
"When the night falls... from the darkness of the hills, appeared the one who was meant to be with... with the unknown, with the stranger, a life was to begin... Begin was to a journey which was to last till the lasts breaths breathed by them..."
The story was narrated. The lights flashed, the dialogues continued, the audience became numb. The lines, the expressions, the feeling was really portrayed in such a way that, stillness is what could follow.
Sanyukta and Randhir stood in the middle of the stage. Their eyes boring into each other with all the hatred that the story was drenched in, their eyes burning with the hate that was to kill the both in the end.
The guns triggered, the bullets scratched their bodies and blood oozed of the deep wounds. Both flinched in pain, but didn't squeak.
The pain was on their face, their eyes, but they didn't move. The final bullets were fired. Killing them both on the spot. With no love, only hatred left, as both the bodies slumped on the ground, still bleeding, and becoming cold... The journey ended...!!
"I don't think you were looking anything better than a... zombie!" Randhir stated washing his face with water, in the basin.
"And I don't know why I have to share the green room with you of all people!" Sanyukta whined cleaning the makeup using the cleanser.
"Oh really! As if you wanted some Hritik Roushan to tag you and kill you on stage..." he rolled his eyes. "Hey you have something to eat?" He asked, looking into his bag.
"No mister. I don't. Why are you always hungry? Plus I'm a Shahid Kapoor fan and not a Hritik Roushan fan..." She removed the eye makeup and washed her face.
"After such a show, who would not feel hungry...?" He took a bag and fished out a pack of biscuits from it.
"You know what..."Sanyukta turned to him, "Hey! That's mine!!!" She shrieked.
"You should not have lied. Anyway... I know what?" He cocked a brow, munching the biscuits.
"I was saying I wanted to have a dinner..." She said sadly... "With you know whom... can you please drop me there?" She said making a puppy face.
"Yeah! Sure... hop up the bike of mine in need and fight with me in greed. Great! No problem at all..." Randhir nodded reverently.
She went into the washroom and quickly got changed into casuals. He was already in casuals. Sanyukta had washed her face with face-wash which left her fresh without any makeup.
She just applied a bit of lip balm for nourishment and a moisturizer. Set to go off for the dinner.
Randhir dropped her in front of "Blues Bouquet", a normal sized old restaurant and leaving her there vroomed by.
She went inside, sitting in a table, waiting for her special one to appear. The waiter served a glass of chilled water...
"Evening Beautiful..." A male voice said as he wrapped around his hands around her shoulder and kissed her cheeks from the back.
She blushed a shade of pink and smile.
"Evening...!" She quipped happily. All the tiredness of the show gone.
"You look better this way, my dear fiance..!!" The new arrival winked at her and ordered some starters.
"As if...!! You liked the show...?" She asked him excitedly.
"I loved you there..." He answered tucking a few strands of her loose hair behind her ear.
"Me too." She leaned in and placed a soft kiss on his cheeks.
He held her left hand... their rings shined. They both giggled at each other and talked while having dinner. The place and the waiter knew them well... It was their regular meeting point...
"Sanyukta ma'am... anything else...?" The waiter asked.
"Yes. Deserts please. A fruit soda ice-cream for me and a vanilla hot-chocolate for sir..." she smiled.
"May I say something?" the waiter asked again.
"Yes... go ahead..." she smiled back at him...
"Those flowers Randhir sir has brought for you are really gorgeous... He has great choice..." He smiled and went away...
"Yeah right... Someone has great choice..." Sanyukta laughed.
"What else to expect from you fianc..." He laughed.
"Now, shut up Randhir ... you what to go back into the quarrel theater mode or something..." She while looking at him with sparkly eyes.
"I don't mind... we were in a Theater show after all..." he winked.
"Yeah right... I so love your changing colours." She pinched his cheeks and kissed there...
"Well life has different colours after all Love..." he answered back with a small peck on her lips and they laughed...
