Well if the idea is to accommodate a young star
since 2014 has been an year of underperformances by
biggies so far and younger lot has done really well this year
which should be recognised.
In that case Varun rightly deserved to be here more than any of his contemporaries as he had 2 commercially successful films and was unanimously praised by the critics for his individual performances fir both MTH & Humpty sharma...
and even got touted as the best thing about his otherwise mediocre films.
Having said that eventhough Randeep had Ungli last week only 😆(but with Kick,Highway,Rangrasiya)deserved more than Nawaz(only Kick) IMO.

Nawazuddin has become synonymous to 'good acting' Even though this year he didn't have a strong role/performance, but still he has been invited! And people wouldn't even question due to misconception of him being a BRILLIANT ACTOR!!

I was expecting Varun to be there... There haven't been strong acting performances by actors this year (well , like every year, this year also its predictable) but I feel he has long way to go and his performance in Humpty Sharma was just the first step in right direction!

attendance depends so much on availability of actors, popularity and so on... every single decent actor will get a chance to be there, it's not rocket science..

It's probably because he was free but his time might be next year-Definitely wasn't this year.

After giving a marvellous oerformance in Highway, Hooda should be here but typical of the industry to ignore him & his awesomeness. 😡

Or Taahir. An actor, that too a newcomer who Mr Perfectionist can rave about, is certainly not a meagre actor. 😆 😆

Randeep Hooda most definitely definitely deserved to be here but since it seems he was not available, I don't mind Varun. There are different kinds of acting including comedy and I think Varun is one of the newcomers who does really well in that department. You get to see a different kind of versatile in this roundtable. And honestly, if they had to chose from whoever was available and a 'star' I prefer Varun then the likes of Arjun or Sid.

Really really wish to get to see Hooda finally get the recognition he deserves. He literally stole Highway without hardly saying a word. What a actor!!!
