Did Aamir abandon KJo?

Karan Johar recently announced his next with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. But according to sources, this was not the film he intended to make at this time. Apparently, the film-maker was working on a mature love story with Aamir Khan in the lead, but had to give up the project when the actor pulled out of the film at the eleventh hour.

A senior actor from the film industry tells us, "Karan was working on a Partition film, which was his father's dream. He was considering Shah Rukh Khan for it. But since things are not that great between Karan and SRK anymore, that didn't work out. At the same time, Karan's growing proximity to Salman Khan, Aamir and Akshay Kumar is common knowledge."

Apparently, Aamir expressed his desire to work with Karan, but he didn't want to collaborate with the film-maker on the Partition story. "Aamir wanted to work with Karan on a completely new script," says an insider, adding,

Rubbish. Karan already said he's still going to make the film with Aamir, but immediately after ADHM.

Partion film they are talking about is Kalank. Abhishek Varman will direct it apparently not Kjo.

Our khabroos inform us that Kalank is very close to KJo. The reason being its associated with his dad Yash Johar. Now you may ask how that happened. Actually it was Yash Johar who had done the initial research for the film and discussed the story idea with his son. However, after he passed away the story went on the back burner, until Abhishek came up with a similar idea. KJo related the ideas and decided to give Abhishek the directorial reigns forKalank. The film is said to be dealing with a variety of human emotions and will be a period drama set in pre-independence India. Our little birdies also inform us that Yash Johar had visited Lahore and finalised the shooting locations for the film, however, before he could start shooting he passed away.

what is it exactly about.

anyways i don't think amir will do a kjo movie. he doesn't like kjo type of movies.

Yea, don't see Aamir working in a typical Kjo movie. Aamir said he isn't working in 2015. Next release could be that Wrestler movie in 2016 or 2017. He might consider something like Kalank rather than the story Karan talked about.

KJo has cast Aamir Khan for a relationship drama about husband-wife-daughter. Its in line of Iranian film 'A Separation'.
