Ishra OS: Zara sa choom loon

Hello YHMians, back with a new OS...Sunday special OS dedicated to all Ishra fans here. A funny, romantic, filmy cliche OS...not proof checked and logic bhi thoda kam hoga...excuse me for that!

This is inspired from the dinner scene yesterday, ofc this has some subtle romantic tadka in a bigger quotient. I hope all of u like it...

So here it is...

Zara sa choom loon

He was annoyed to the core. No actually he was mad to the core and of course his Jhansi ki rani was the reason. It was over a month since he had been throwing hints at her and yet madam casually ignored it all. She doesn't seem a bit interested in proceeding the relationship further. She poses ignorance to what he was hinting at or probably as he says, she is a fool for sure. Else why was she not responding to his advances?

Within his logical mind, he knew that he was at fault too. He wasn't being so assertive in his advances to her. But what can he do? All his determination to tell her directly goes for a complete toss when they are together. Moreover, all the family problems are hurled onto them in such a clogging manner that they really don't have time to think or talk about their own life.

His thoughts are interrupted by the subject herself,

"Raman...chaliye...sab dinner keliye wait kar rahe hai"

Before he could respond or even tell her something, she was out of the room. He punched the air, quite pissed off with her total indifference to him. She wasn't giving him the kind of attention he wanted from her. Yes to sum it up, she wasn't treating him as her husband neither was she behaving like a wife to him.

"Ruhi ki Ishima, Acchi bahu, perfect Maa banne ki khoshish mein biwi banna bhool gayi madrasan!"

He smacked her mentally as he sprinted down the stairs to their dining table. The entire family was already seated and had started on their dinner. He could see appa having a tough time eating the spicy food. He helped him by passing on the curd to compensate the spices.

Raman could see that his father-in-law was missing his wife. Amma and Appa were always at logger heads but then they could never stay apart from each other. Well to think of it, Raman realized that he was also in the same path as appa, Bala and his father. All three of them adored admired and loved their wives so much. And now he was in the same league. His Jhansi ki rani had somehow brought him into that league.

The table was filled with dishes, all vegetarian because appa, Bala and Mihika were having dinner with them. Raman eyed each bowl kept and his eyes fell on the paalak panneer. He remembered seeing Ishita cleaning and cutting the paalak when he had come from office.

He smiled remembering how she had gone to the cooking class to learn this recipe just because it was his favourite. And from that day, she made it almost daily. Then it kind of struck him that may be she was doing it for his praise and attention which he hadn't given as much as she deserved or yearned for.A brain wave hit him suddenly.

"Paagal madrasan!", he muttered to himself as he played with his spoon and the plate and cooked up ways to implement his brain wave.

"Aapne kuch kaha?"

Her voice interrupted his thought process and he just smiled. She went on to serve the dishes. He caught her hand to stop her from putting more into his plate and then pointed to the paalak panneer.

"Mujhe aaj bas paalak panneer chaahiye"

She looked at him weirdly and then gave him what he wanted. He was relishing the dish like never before. He finished several servings of the dish and also kept taking scoops of the pulao to match the dish, totally surprising her.

He gobbled in the last spoon and then voiced in appreciation,

"Aaj ka paalak panneer best hai...isse pehle kabhi itna tasty nahi khaaya...dil karta hai ke banaane waale ki haath choom loom"

He was beaming in pride as he said that assured that it was his wife's preparation and he was indirectly talking about kissing her hands. A subtle hint to her while a casual remark for the others but he saw his mother, sister and Ishita alternating glances at each other. While Ishita appeared to frown and anger was colouring her red, his mother and sister were grinning cheekily as if mocking him. He was confused at her reaction.

He conveniently assumed that it wasn't anger but a blush and shyness on her face though his mind said, "Iss madrasan ko achaanak kya hua? EK dum se Jhansi ki rani hogayi!"

Later that night, Raman was in the room eagerly waiting for her to come.

She came soon and he saw that she was still angry and a large frown spread across her face. He wondered why she was angry. She was continuously muttering something as she spread out the duvet on the couch.

He tried to cool her down by again broaching on the paalak panneer

"Waise Ishita, woh paalak panneer bohat tasty tha...koyi naya ingredient dhaala tha kya?"

This was it. She threw the sheets onto the couch angrily and replied, "Jisne banaaya tha uni se jaake pooch lo na Raman? aur haathon ko bhi choom lo"

Before he could say more, she ranted, "sirf aap keliye woh recipe maine seekha...aur itne din se banaa rahi hoom...but aaj tak ek baar bhi aapne ek shabd nahi bola...aur aaj dekho..."

Actually, Raman had seen her cleaning up the paalak but soon after he went to his room, Ruhi had rushed to Ishita and asked for help in doing the homework. So Ishita asked Neelu to make the dish and went over to help Ruhi.

He snapped her short still trying to decipher the meaning of what she said, "Matlab aaj tumne nahi banaaya?"

She shot back, "Nahi...Neelu ne banaaya...jaao aur usski taareef karo...Aap ko mere taareef nahi karna, nahi karo...mujhe neecha dikaana hai,toh woh bhi karlo...its ok but sab ke saamne bolne se pehle ek baar sochliya hota Raman...kam se kam yeh toh socha hota ke Neelu kya sochegi?"

"Already woh uss kiss waale kisse ko leke shock mein thi...mujhse complaint bhi kiya...aur ab yeh...this is not done Raman...aap aise kaise..."

She wasn't serious in her doubts or fights but this is just a normal husband-wife moment where she, quite unaware of herself, was complaining to him like a typical wife does to her husband, seeking and yearning for more attention.

Raman almost slapped his forehead for having spoiled it all with his plans. Now he understood why the paalak panneer had tasted so different from what it tastes when she prepares it. He had conveniently ignored what his taste bud chirped to him when he had initiated on the praise and chumma plan. He was quite sure that no matter what, Ishita had prepared it.

She went on and on complaining on how he ignores whatever she does for him etc etc etc.

In an pissed off moment, he just blurts out loudly snapping her rants, "ARRE CHUP KARO YAAR...main Neelu ko nahi balke tumhe kiss karne ke baat kiya tha...uss din bhi aur aaj bhi...sirf tumhe yaar"

He had blurted it out in a spur of the moment and all her accusations ceased and she just froze in silence as she let those words sink into her head. A slight blush quickly spread across her flushed cheeks and her eye lashes lowered shyly as realization struck her, rather slowly.

Meanwhile, he was no less shy than her. He tried to avert his glance from her but his eyes betrayed him by darting towards her every few seconds to know her reaction.

In an attempt to get over the moment, she snapped out as if remembering something,

"Main abi aathi hoom...I need to check if Ruhi has slept"

Raman merely nodded allowing her to go, though all he wanted was to grab her into his arms and kiss her passionately. He knew that she was just making a lame excuse to go from the room as Ruhi never stayed awake so late yet he didn't stop her as usual.

Quite unexpectedly, she stopped at the door and chuckled, "Waise muttar pulao maine hi banaaya tha...And I know that you loved it too...Kal se menu aur banaane waale ka naam pehle hi bathaa doongi!"

With that said, she sprinted out quite sure that he got her point.

He smiled naughtily amused at her subtle hint back to him.
