Till a year ago, they had the best and craziest but iconic rustic family - Sajjan Singh and his clan in Pratigya.

No one really bothered about other characters in that show. The Thakurs were the soul of that show.

Their clashes, their unique rustic dialogues, one liners, aggression, regrets, confusions, unity, or lack of it. It all defined Pratiggya! So much so that they inspired many spoofs, fan fiction and won every damn award out there.

Now again, Star Plus has an ace with urban, suave yet slimy Goenkas! The best villainous clan in recent times!

Lavish lifestyle, loathsome ways, amusing, sarcastic, caustic, eliciting multiple reactions at once!

Thakurs used to lord over Allahabad in Pratiggya. Goenkas lord over Kolkata. The flavour of urbane and rustic was so well defined!

Sajjan Singh was the LIFE of Pratiggya. Sakshi Goenka is the BREATH of Ek Hasina Thi.

Amazingly cast actors who owned the characters and screen!

They end serials badly but gotta congratulate Star on having the best twisted families and most spectacular villains onscreen!
