It turned out to be a shock for everyone when one of the audience members walked up to the India's Raw Star host Gauahar Khan during the grand finale and slapped her for wearing a skimpy outfit.
Interestingly, Arjun Kapoor was there too as the special guest.
The whole incident has left Arjun quite disturbed.
Arjun has worked with Gauahar in his first film Ishaqzaade and shares a great rapport with her. He reveals that he was present on the sets of the show when the incident took place.
" It happened when I was there. I heard her screaming and when I turned up, by then he had already slapped her and had been taken out by the securtiy. I took Gauahar to her make up room. It was important at that time to get her out of that crowd. It has affected me to the point that I am completely shaken and disturb," Arjun says. " I want to spit on ourselves for the kind of men we are. It's humiliating for the entire nation because there are still such men in this country. I have worked with Gauahar. I know her really well. I spoke to her that night.
Whatever happened is extremely sad," Arjun adds.
He further expresses his anger on the entire episode. " I am appalled that Indian men have such a shallow thought process.
I think that man will get what he deserves and law will put him to his real place. No man should ever think that that he has a right to raise his hand on anybody.
There can't be any excuse for doing such a thing. There's a way to express. She is a free woman and it's a free country but who are you to raise your hand on somebody? How can you be judgmental about somebody? If you are a man, does that mean you will take advantage of it? This is a very wrong thought," Arjun says. He confesses that he lost his cool when he got to know about this but somehow controlled himself. " I am not a violent person or have raised my hand on anybody.
I hope I never do that but when I see situations and circumstances like what has happened, I really wish ki ek baar haath saaf kar leta," Arjun adds.
