Had expected this for various reasons. First and foremost similarity with Revenge where Les dad is murdered. Les character is more or less that of real Durga whatever little we know about her.

when u r fighting a battle , both the sides must be prepared for loses . if only the bad side is losing its opponents then what's the need for calling the war !! .

I had expected either it would be akash or dayal , seems like they have finalized dayal to be the bali ka bakra and moreover akash's demise will not give dev a much stronger presence when compared to dayal's demise or him becoming unable to help durga with her plans .
