Well I'm thinking about this after watching today's episode.
The illegitimate relationship between Sakshi and Rajnath before their so called marriage makes me think whether Shaurya is an illegitimate child of theirs?

Or is he the son of Sakshi and Rehmad? Well I doubt that.
Shaurya is just like his dad.
A lewd criminal casanova.

But its quite possible that Sakshi might be bearing him even before marrying Raj.

I don't think that's necessary. Today's episode confirmed that Rajnath although didn't want to marry Sakshi, he at least found her attractive. It's very likely that after they got married, they still had some intimate moments together (although I don't understand why Sakshi would want this to happen considering her revenge plan against Rajnath - unless she really wanted to produce an heir).

He may be born from the affair Rajnath had with Sakshi before marriage. Quite possible that she blackmailed him not just for revenge of his betrayal but also due to being pregnant with his child.
Shaurya is too much like Rajnath and it is hard to believe he could be Rehmat's son.

It is a mystery what happened in those years and where did kids come from! Though both were attracted to each other at one point.

But I wonder what they saw in Rajnath that both Sakshi and Raima got fooled by him! Money and celeb status?

yes, he's too mcuh like Rajnath to not be his son. Both are one of a kind 🤢

Celebrity and power can be potent attractions for some. Given her will to not only survive but win at any cost, and her ambitions, rajnath's glamor must have had a pwerful draw for Sakshi. She was clearly enamored of him for a while and fell into his trap so easily. Not just for the "love" -- clearly she had that from Rehmat too -- but the allure of status and ultimately the delusion of power.

But her love for Akram as a child and all of that seems to so not gel with the ruthless person she became later. Rehmat was only a stepping stone?

See I suspect she was first infatuated with celebrity Rajnath and then with his flirting and compliments she fell in love with him. Maybe in her craze for him she helped him kill Rehmat or maybe Rehmat was killed by Rajnath over that tape and revelation of affair and this made Sakshi feel guilty.
She might have felt Rehmat was dead and so was Akram and found herself a lone widow, probably pregnant too. Hence went to blackmail Rajnath and took both revenge and security from him and his name.
All her past and this betrayal by Rajnath must have made her think emotions are for weak. Hence she became even more ruthless (considering Rajnath too wanted to bump her off over the tape and she did have to be on toes to protect herself).

I might be mistaken but I think tears for Akram were there due to guilt. Maybe somewhere she felt that he wouldn't have to suffer if she had not been swayed by Rajnath. She might have genuinely bonded with young Akram.

I noticed she had moist eyes bumping off Bagchis and shooting Raima too. Maybe she does feel guilt somewhere but it gets overpowered by other emotions such as need to get revenge, need to protect son or need for self preservation. She's forever fighting to keep up illusion of control and mirage of perfect life.

Interesting...the way Rajnath's skeletons are tumbling out, it could well be him that burned Rehmat's factory. In Akram's FB though they showed her handing the money to someone, the uncle?

It could be a slow descent into ruthlessness, with a perfect storm of all kinds of factors, and her own Dorian Gray type of bartering of her soul for power and the ultimate victory -- entry into the menagerie of power!

She was even thinking that it is time to take control of the empire - when rajnath seemed to falter (playacted in front of her) before Dev's trial.

Yes, she did keep those pictures of Akram...somewhere he must have mattered.

If the story could have been told as intended, I would have loved to see the shades of grey all humans are colored by. Some darker than others, but there are always so many sides. It needs a deft story telling and a skilful portrayal to go beyond the black and white.

I agree with you Dazee.
Had it been allowed to run its course it would have been a good insight into formation of grey side of human personality.

Producer seemed enthusiastic in first interview on this show, remarking on why characters just had to be black or white, why couldn't they be grey. But I guess channel and TRP aunties thwarted his vision.
Otherwise he seemed proud of his script. Even actors called it most exciting script they ever signed. 😕
