The Shaukeens fared poorly on day one as it grossed around 3.50 crore nett. The start was slow but the problem was that it did not pick up much and the final collections came in similar to what they looked in the morning.

The better business has come in multiplexes outside the metros like in East Punjab and the Central belts with East and South being poor. Business in Uttar Pradesh was also not upto the mark as was the case with most single screens. There will be growth on Saturday but probably not the sort that the film needs to put up a respectable first weekend total

Here's BOI's opening weekend collections, which is pretty much the same opening day and opening weekend collection I predicted 😃:

The Shaukeens grossed around 12.75 crore nett over its first weekend. The film did show growth over Saturday and Sunday but the starting point was too low

The approx collections for the weekend are as follows.

Friday - 3,50,00,000

Saturday - 4,25,00,000

Sunday - 5,00,00,000

TOTAL - 12,75,00,000

The film grossed 5 crore nett on Sunday but that had to be its starting point on Friday and then grow like it did. If that happened then the film may have had a chance at the box office. The other release of the week Rang Rasiya was a very poor fare grossing around 2.25 crore nett over its first weekend.
