I second both Nonam and Nishita here. It's true that VB doesn't give a flying F to box office, and had making money be his ultimate goal, then he would either start to cast 'stars' rather than the 'actors' or else would totally stop making films. No matter whether his movies work in the BO or not, he managed to receive awards for most of his movies, which itself shows the inherent quality of the movies that he usually makes.

And I have a belief that O Romeo is gonna be among those movies which will get even better reviews when the Blue-ray will be released. People hardly want to appreciate slow movies, so even considering that O Romeo is doing really well already.
