Hello,
Today was Father's Day in our show, or has been for quite some time.😉😆
The episode opened with a cute scene of the Jodha, Jalaal and shekhu baba praying to Kanha, with Shekhu baba, looking everywhere except Kanha's murti throughout. What was he looking for? Anarkali? Brown acid?
But, the funniest part was Salim's silence when abba huzoor asked how he could sleep, when such an injustice had been committed in front of him, answer options, a) I don't give a rat's a** about the girl, b) Maybe, just maybe I felt good, c) Like my father I have this trait of pi**ing off my potential father-in-laws, d) I was chasing unicorns in the opium-infused dream, courtesy my badi ammi, who's fast becoming the evil queen, replace poisoned apple with what-have-yous. All answers are correct. 😆
It's bad enough that, Mughal sultanate in the show has an inept army, and now they have bodyguards, who wouldn't be eligible for any form of insurance, health or life. 😆
What followed was, part awesome, part hilarious, scene of Jalaal playing daaku with relish, trying to steal Jodha's jewelry. 🤣 But what takes the cake is Jodha's explanation on the career preference of daakus. Somewhere, in chambhal a child laughed. Now, if I had not been distracted by abba huzoors slow taking off of the cloth from his face, I would have laughed at his bhashan. Even Tolstoy would choke on this stuff. Now was all this necessary, ladies at Huffpost, and Slate would write pages on it, but, I am content laughing out. And obviously Jalaal didn't notice, Salim shuddering at the sight of blood before throwing away the knife. Abhi bhi waqt hai, go for Murad.
I loved BEK's scene today, where she shut up the beghum, wish she would stop peddling drugs.
Reaction,
Shekhar Kapur made Bandit Queen, Ekta Kapur made Bandit King. I like the latter with patent leather eyes 😳
