Serial Examiner Ada #2: Ideologies of Love...

So we probably all seen the promo of this show but based on the promo Suhani and Soumya idea of love didn't make much sense to me. So I went on a hunt to get a description on the show. I came upon this description which made perfect sense to me and I thought I share a small but main part of it. They got the complete opposite of what they except.

"Suhani Si Ek Ladki traces the journey of Suhani, Soumya & Yuvraj and their differing ideologies of love..."

"Suhani, an innocent, simple and average looking girl, wants a man who may not be good-looking or rich but is blessed with a heart of gold and who would love her for who she is."

Suhani is married to a guy who is blessed... but with good looks and wealth. He might not be evil but he does not have a heart of gold either. Yuvraj married her to save his house and not because he loved her for the way she is. After marriage, he planned and took nothing but revenge till he found out the truth that Suhani was nothing but a pawn in this game. He then had a change of heart but since he doesn't love her, he can only take the responsibility of a husband as a friend and not as a lover. Suhani will be in for a big surprise when she finds out her idea of her perfect guy does not match up with Yuvraj. (Hopefully one day he does fall in love with her the way she is and forgets that bank could take away his house.)

"In contrast to Suhani is her extremely beautiful best friend Saumya who lives in her own dream world and believes that true love is all about being pampered by your partner."

Soumya is definitely living in her own dream world which she built thru lies and disceit. She did have a partner before marriage who did pamper her and love her so much that at times he became very possessive. However, her immature mind thought this will continue after marriage with no problems. Little does she know marriage is a huge responsibility and it doesnt come easy. In marriage, you need to consider your partner as an equal and respect them not embarrassed them. She embarrased him by running to a friends house to be pampered by her family just because she isnt taken care of her needs at home by her jobless husband, she claims to love. She isnt able to make her dream world with the things she has in life so she builds one with lies and diseit: Running away from home. Lying and hiding things from her best friend., lying about her living and financial status, making her father-in-law into her driver to show her make believe amazing life, lying about the giver of gifts. When will she learn that being pampered is not what true love is all about.

"On the other hand, Yuvraj is a handsome & rich scion of a business family whose ultimate dream in life is to marry the most beautiful girl in the world, his belief being that external beauty alone is the marker of a good heart."

Yuvraj is definitely leading a artifical life. It seems like he never heard the saying "Dont judge a book by its cover." Luckily, he is beginning to see how wrong he was with his idea of love. He fell for a girl, who is pretty in the face so she must be beautiful in the heart. Makes me wonder what type of stories did he listen to when he was a kid. But this thought comes crashing down when he realizes that the girl he loves cheated him and ran off with someone else. But if a pretty face could be so deceitful then a ugly face must be worst. He plots his revenge on his wife but later finds out his wife has also been cheated by this pretty lady. The more this pretty girl lies the more he realizes that the marker of a beautiful girl is a internal beauty not external. (Yuvraj reminds me so much about one of my friends, who i actually have a crush on for the longest, but he still needs to learn the differences from external beauty and internal)

Great post! Yuvraj thinking beauty means quality... What a weird thought... But he will surely realize that "All glitters are not gold"...

Thanks so much for this post I have actually never watched the initial promos of the show and never intended to bt coz of your post will definitely watch it when I get a chance. Bt really I loved the info u got and the explanation is just so beautiful. They truly all got the exact opposite of what they wanted in life. Bt out of the 3 yuvani still ending getting the best which was each another.

I too remember watching the promo time and time and only liking Suhani's words. but that time i was very confused coz i didn't know the story but now i know about it.

I can only connect to Suhani.I never liked Soumya and the reason u said,her way of lying .. she cheated her best friend,u know..even after knowing she can't be happy with Yuvraj when she wil come to know about the truth,she still pushed the situation.she was never worried about Suhani,she just wanted to get rid of Yuvraj,so she used her best fiend for that.And now when Suhani is having a good luxurious life,she is not able to stand it.She is again and again running to Birla house to get pampered by Daadi,even after knowing that Daadi knows the truth about her and Yuvraj.She totally lost respect in my eyes and is a very clever character which i don't like.

Yuvraj is like that because of his daadi lol.I guess makers brought Daadi angle to justify Yuvraj later as a man with may be not a golden but a good heart. Because of Daadi,we are able to connect with Yuvraj and also connecting to YuvAni.
