23.S for Smoking, S for Surprise.
Stepping out of the bathroom, she frowned looking at the sight in front of her- Randhir was sitting on the bed, his legs spread out, and on his thighs lay the laptop, while his eyes were stuck on the screen, his one hand
typing something, the other holding a cigerrate. Cigerrate. She sighed. Yes, finally her periods were over and she was looking forward to have some real fun tonight, but it seemed Randhir had vowed to stick to
smoking forever! They had fought quite a number of times over this issue, the entire week, and Sanyukta was certain that he would pay heed to her eventually, though, his lack of an attempt to control this addiction was beginning to get on her nerves now. She took a deep breath attempting to calm the fury creeping in, and walked towards him. Settling on his lap, she rested her back on his stomach, her legs were trying to wrap themselves to avoid clashing with the laptop. Randhir smiled on seeing her struggle to fit in the gap between him and his laptop, moving the laptop aside, he caught her legs and placed it on his.
"Kya kar rahe the?" Sanyukta's head lay on his shoulder, her nose touching his neck. She gently rubbed her nose on his skin.
"Nothing much,...M on the 5th car design,.I have to make 5 more!!"
He immediately threw the cigarette away on the floor, his hands rubbed her thighs.
"Randhir..." Sanyukta turned around to face him, her legs on either side of his waist, she settled on his thighs.
"Hmmm.." Having complete access to her neck now, Randhir pulled her closer through her waist, and began placing damp kisses all over her neck, his hands entering her t-shirt.
Sanyukta shut her eyes on feeling his lips go further down, his hands were busy pulling her t-shirt upwards.
"Randhir.." She again tried catching his attention, but Randhir was busy tasting her collar bone, his hands pushing her t-shirt up. Leaving her neck, Randhir moved his lips to capture her soft lips, when Sanyukta
pushed him hard.
"This is exactly what i wanted to talk about! Your mouth smells of smoke! Its suffocatin!" She immediately got up from his lap, straightening the t-shirt he had pulled up.
"Sanyukta...M tryin!" He sighed, running a frustrated hand through his hair. Okay, may be he was not putting in full efforts to control his addiction, but he was trying! His consumption of cigarettes had reduced from 5 a day, to 3, which was definitely an improvement.
"Yeah..i can see that...!" She glared at the cigarette lying on the floor and walked away after banging the door shut.
Randhir shut his eyes in desperation- what was he suppose to do?! The moment he felt worked up, the only way to calm himself down seemed to be a cigarette.
Sanyukta settled on the couch, aimlessly switching the channels of the t.v, though her mind was stil stuck on Randhir. May be, she was being abit to harsh on him- the work load had increased at lightnings speed, and though he was used to it, she could see he was quite stressed out than usual. May be she should give him some more time, and if he still did not improve, emotional blackmail was always handy. Yeah, that seemed perfect. Smiling at her perfect plan, she walked towards the kitchen inorder to prepare dinner, when suddenly the door bell rang.
Randhir came running from the his room, to attend the door, pushing Sanyukta mid-way, who was also walking towards the door.
"Parth!!!!!" Like an excited kid, Randhir engulfed his new found best friend into a tight hug, while Sanyukta who was standing right behind Randhir, stared at the two men in front of her in surprise- Last she could remember, Randhir could not stand Parth and Parth too was not very fond of Randhir.
"Its soo good to see u!!!" Randhir broke the hug and smiled.
"Haa bhai..dikhne main acha hoon...lekin aawaz bekaar hai nahi? Isliye phone hee nahi utha raha tha mera! Thank god message toh padha dat m comin!" Parth glared at him, a sarcastic smile plastered on his face.
"Wohh..I was busy..." Randhir's lips curved into a smile, his eyes travelled towards Sanyukta, breaking Parth's lips into a genuine smile too.
"Hey Sanyukta!" Parth moved towards Sanyukta who was still unable to absorb the happenings.
"Care to explain anyone?" Sanyukta shifted her gaze from Randhir to Parth and back to Randhir.
"After u left, Randhir was broken, he needed someone desperately, and I was more than happy to become the knight in shining armour for this Damsel In Distress!" Parth bursted out laughing, only to receive a glare from Randhir, while Sanyukta too couldn't control her laughter on listening to Parth's words.
"Feels great to see u Parth!" Randhir leaded him to the couch, followed by Sanyukta.
"Same here!" Parth flashed a smile, settling on the couch.
"Hmmm... Sanyukta...dinner?" Randhir innocently touched his tummy, his eyes glowing with naughtiness- He was just hoping she was not mad
at him for the smoking issue.
"Coming! " Sanyukta winked, walking towards the kitchen. to fetch some plates.
"It feels soo great to finally see u two together!" Parth smiled.
"Sab bataaya tu ne usse?" Parth's tone refelcted seriousness.
"Nahi..." Randhir's smile faded.
"She doesnt want to talk about it...I think thode dinon k liye khush rehne ka haq hai humain..." Randhir's gaze shifted from the floor to Parth's face.
"Waise...to tell u the truth, Sanyukta hates Vidhushi...she will be more than happy to hear u got her hopes high by getting engaged to Vidhushi, and shattered her hopes mercilessly by breaking it.."
"Bt she loves her dad...And finally Vidhushi hai toh uski behen na?" Randhir shut his eyes running a frustrated hand through his hair.
"Here comes dinner!" Sanyukta barged into the hall, with a bowl of noodles and three plates, placing it on the table. Randhir and Parth immediately changed the topic of disussion, hoping that previous conversation went unheard. Though unknown to both the men, Sanyukta had heard each and every word they exchanged, and she suddenly began feeling restless as the thought of what exactly had happened in those 2 months clouded her mind.

"Ouch Sanyukta! That was hard!" Randhir winced , his thumb touched his lower lip which Sanyukta had just bit.
"Sorry.." She moved her lips to his neck, sucking his skin all the way, as she lay on top of him on the bed. Randhir could sense the anger in her body language, and was certain something was definitely fishy.
"Ouch Sanyukta!!" Going further down his throat, Sanyukta left a love or rather an anger bite, making Randhir wince in pain again. In an instant reaction, he turned them over roughly, holding her hands on either side of her body.
"What do u think u r doing?" He brushed his lips on hers, loosening the grip on her hands.
"Sorry.." She whispered, before capturing his lips for another kiss, slowly freeing her hands from his hold, moving her fingers all the way to his hair, clutching it. Randhir's hands entered her t-shirt, and began caressing her stomach, followed by her bare back. His nails automatically dug themselves in her bare back , as she bit his lower lip, again.
"What the hell is wrong with u?" He broke the kiss to stare at her in wonder. Realising that she was unnecessairly being harsh on him, she licked the place on his lips she had bit.
"U got engaged to Vidhushi?" She stared back into his eyes, demanding answers, her hands pulling his t-shirts up, though Randhir's hands on her back did not move an inch.
"I broke it later Sanyukta..." His hands exited her t-shirt, allowing her to pull off his t-shirt completely.
"But u got engaged.." Throwing his t-shirt on the floor, her fingers began playing with his hair, moving down to his back, caressing it.
"I had my reasons Sanyukta..." He buried his face in her neck, licking her throat, his hands lifting her t-shirt up to expose her stomach
"It was not due to any momentary attraction na?" She finally asked the question she was dying to ask ever since the engagement news became known to her. Her hands brushed past his chest, stomach, and finally landed to his jeans button.
"My first attraction, love, lust, crush..everything is u and only u.." He rose his head from her neck, to taste her lips, his hands straightening the t-shirt he had lifted.
"U mind if v dont do it today? The designs and then catching up with Parth...m tired.." He nibbled her ear.
"I guessed it right...Ur reflexes are slow today.." Sanyukta smiled. Randhir rolled over to lay beside her, while she climbed over him and lay on top of him, burying her face in his neck.
"Ur not mad at me for breakin ur sister's heart?" He gently gripped her waist.
"As a reward I can give u watever u want!" She kissed his neck.
"So..u dont love ur family?" Randhir curiosity got the better of him- if she did not care much about her family, telling her the entire
truth would not be that big a deal.
"Ofcourse i do...I mean not my entire family...bt...my dad n my bro...dey r my blood after all..." Her fingers were busy drawing patterns on his chest.
"Bt.. ur dad doesnt love u..." Randhir whispered, staring at the ceiling, a calm expression on his face - absolutely contrasting
to the state of his heart and mind! How badly he was wishing that she did not love her dad too!
"So what? He is my dad Randhir...i obviosly love him!" Sanyukta lifted her head to look at him.
"And what if u had to chose between him n me?" Randhir looked at her , his heart thumping in fear. No. Telling her the entire truth was
not going to be a cake walk. What if she trusted her dad and dnot him?
"Why would I have to choose? M here with u...N i dont intend to go back to India at all...so.." Sanyukta's face reflected a thoughtful yet innocent expression, making Randhir smile. He brought his hands to her hair, gently stroking it,
while Sanyukta placed her chin on his chest, her face staring at him.
"And what if u ever had to?" He politely asked, brushing his thumb on her lips.
"Randhir..I..I dont know...Mostly U..." Sanyukta again buried her head in his chest, unable to understand the meaning of his question, though for Randhir a sense of satisfaction took over. But wait, she had used the words "Mostly?" He shut his eyes, trying to ignore the mostly, and concentrate on the "U."
"I wil chose my dad if u dont stop smokin.." She naughtily smiled, kissing his chest.
"Sanyukta...I will never ever smoke again I promise!" He pulled her closer, protectively wrapping his hands around her waist, not wanting to let go off her, not now, not ever...
