I am still not a fan of a Naren-Ankita reunion. He's only going back to her b/c Pari is now completely evil. Had she remained good hearted and supportive, things would have been different and he probably would have just wanted Ankita to marry Ranvijay. At that point, it wouldn't have mattered to him that Ankita and he share a child.
I don't think he should marry Ankita solely out of responsibility. Yes, he should still be a part of Ashi's life but that doesn't mean he needs to marry Ankita. Ankita is now in a great career and is with her family. She no longer requires his support. He wasn't with her when she needed him most so why should he get to be with her now when she's successful? His behavior leading to her departure from mumbai can't be so easily forgotten or forgiven. It doesn't matter that he didn't love her at the time or want to stay married to her. He should have still, out of humanity, shown more concern for where she would be going while poor, pregnant, and without an address to call home.He instead happily forgot about her and didn't even think about telling people where he had seen her last. Remember how agonized Soham was at the train station? Naren couldn't bring himself to tell a father where his daughter was going? If he couldn't respect the feelings that Soham had towards his daughter, what right does Naren have towards Ashi?
The truth is that Ankita loves Naren much more than he ever loved her. He loved "Ahana" but not "Ankita." Even if he gets his memories back, the confusion of if he fell for "Ankita" or "Ahana" will always be present. Naren is just lucky that Ankita selfless and deeply loved Naren so much. Even though the real Naren is no where close to Ankita's Naren, he will still get to marry her.
There was so much potential in a Ranvijay/Ankita track and I'm still disappointed that they forced the Ankita/Naren reunion. Despite all the wrongdoings he committed, he will still get to marry Ankita and escape from his miserable marriage.
If his love of Pari had been so strong that he would lose his mind over seeing Pari in an accident, he should have had the strength and ability to work on his marriage with Pari. Not just blindly supporting her every whim but instead guiding her and telling her when she isn't doing the right thing. He should have gotten her psychological help if her character changed 180 degrees after the miscarriage and inability to conceive. They made a mockery over their love story as well. The depth of their London life was limited to dancing and pizza. It's hard to imagine that such a superficial love would lead to Naren's mental condition. They should have added more substance to provide validation.
They could have easily shown Ankita falling for the great qualities in Ranvijay over time. His family supported her for 5 years even though she was a complete stranger to them. They never questioned her past and were ready to accept her child (Ashi) into their household. It's unfortunate that Ankita has forgotten all that his family did for her once reaching Mumbai. She hasn't been shown remembering them, calling them, or even talking about them to her family.
So many great messages could have come out of an Ankita-Ranvijay love story. They could have shown that there is love after love failure. They could have shown how to be respectful and accepting of your spouse. They could have shown that it's completely possible to treat Vaishnavi/Ashi equally and as their own children even if the parentage was different.
With Naren and Pari they could have shown them building their relationship, tackling their inability to have biological children more positively (and hence show that adoption is a great option), and eventually realizing how much Ankita has done for them and how much they had ill treated and gossiped about her. They could have been shown repenting and encouraging Ankita to move on in life and marry Ranvijay.
I think the track got ruined as soon as Naren/Pari lost their child and Rushali kidnapped Ashi. If only we could rewrite things from there lol.
Things could have ended so positively but instead we got this unsatisfactory reunion shoved down our throats lol.
