Anguish
It had been a long time when things in my life went up side down and couldn't do anything but stare at the ruthless fate that had trashed me into pieces. It's been two years since I last saw her. Hear her melodious voice, stare in her brown orbs or touch her smooth skin. What had gone so wrong that I was left no where and the distance between us has increased unprecedented.
I loved her and she loved me. We were engaged and enjoying each others presence and counting days left for us to officially be together. I thought that after the wait of 5 long years when she finally agreed her feelings and after that with facing all the inhuman problem and turmoil our relationship has been trough and finally when she confessed her feelings for me, it was enough to last us a life time. But undoubtedly I was wrong. There are few more conditions to be fulfilled to be married to someone you love.
I forgot about the families which I needed to convince before our marriage. Although we were living together for more than 1 and a half years and considered ourselves engaged we still needed to convince our families. Actually her family.
My family simply agreed to our decision of getting married and accepted Sharon whole heartedly but her family quite did not like me much from the starting. Mrs. Raiprakash did not seem to like me much where as Mr. Raiprakash completely disliked me and my family and that was the last day I ever saw Sharon.
Later that day I did meet her but that was the most heart wrenching day of my life when had this conversation with the only person I have loved all my life.
"Hey! Sharon don't worry at all I will surely convince your family." I said.
"No! you are not going to do any of that!.Get that!" Sharon said with harshness in her tone which I had not heard in quite a while.
"What do you mean no?" I asked.
"I mean I don't want you to talk to my mom or dad." She replied quite fast as if she had made her mind for that.
I got hold of her arms and turned her to face me I could see the love vanish from her eyes and only coldness in them which feared me to death.
"Sharon we are engaged.My family agreed to our relationship and trust me your family too would. Just give them some time." I said assuring her trying to get the love back in those eyes.
"What if I don't want them to agree to it ever?" Sharon snapped at me.
"What are you talking about?" I demanded.
"Swayam our families don't agree on anything and won't in the future why to force them with our relationship?" She said as plainly as she could.
"Its not about them but about us Sharon! I love you, I want to marry you and I can do anything for it. Say that you love me too Sharon." I shouted at her.
"I do Swayam but I love my family more than anything Swayam." She said maintaining a poker face.
"But that does not mean you would end all of this right?"
"I don't know Swayam but if they don't want it, then accept it and let it be Swayam."
"I would die without you Sharon. I would die."
"I am sorry Swayam." With that she she started moving away from me.
"No. Sharon no Sharon. You can't do this to me. I love you.. NO!!" I shouted as I collapsed on the floor shattered
Its really been two years and I have tried with all my might to move on but it is as hard as anything could be. The love of so many years can't be vanished in thin air just like that. I think about it every moment as I live trough. I got married to Tanya later that year. An independent Event Manager. I pretend hard every morning to wake up and seem fine but I die each day. But she is a nice girl and dose not deserves any of this. I try to give every happiness I can to her. And my life has started evolving around her.
I think this as I wait for her to come so that we can do together at our work places. As she comes there dressed perfectly. And looking as beautiful as ever.
"let's go." She said in her sweet voice.
As her work place arrived and I dropped her off pecking her lightly on her forehead.
I walked into the Shekhawat Estates towards my cabin of the C.E.O.
I was to meet someone Mr & Mrs Mehra today.
Someone knocked at the door and I spoke as usual.
"Come in.!"
My eyes froze as I saw the person getting in my office. After two years my eyes could feel the warmth again.
I exclaimed "Sharon!"
