I agree with @ Scorpio super stars should stay quite And why people r expecting others come to rescue her from this situation..let her deal this...that is what I think...I might be wrong..

^^^^ the difference is that the writer has not simply picked up the most popular stars but stars who have built some sort of an image of an activist or concerned responsible citizen. who milk this image for their benefit yet fail to respond to anything actually important. that's why she doesn't mention say deepika or akshay who don't project a social image.

instead like shabana or amir . amir has used satyamev jayte to really push his image of a intelligent sensitive responsible citizen. yet he won't talk about this bec his show is far away . had the show been on air or just about to air this week , you can bet he would have.

I think u r right...the writer is targeting those with a social image of a certain thing...

Media is writing long essays on others not giving their opinion but wont expose those businessman and finish the matter. If they know it was a 5 star hotel and people were coming to meet that girl and atlast hotel staff informed the police then its impossible that they have no clue about those men. They have every minor detail but no idea about names? OR they are not allowed to expose them?

And the handful of people who came out and spoke about the case...we go and question their moral authority to speak about it. BW is a dirty little place. No wonder no is speaking about it. It would be acknowledging BW's worst kept secret.
