I agree. That's what I have also maintained that Jodha cannot be faulted for that attempt. She was momentarily overwhelmed by conflicting emotions and extreme sense of being abandoned and unloved. It was perhaps before the maternal instinct arose in her. So she was not yet thinking of how to save her babies. She was only thinking of the sudden withdrawal of Jalal from her and his "rejection" of her love.

If you remember once before, she had felt alone and unloved, when her mother refused to take her to Amer. Then also she had attempted suicide.

Just as Jalal perhaps feels nonplussed to face relatives on the battlefield, Jodha feels unable to face rejection. Yet, it is not always the case. Like I mentioned in another post, very often Jodha simply withdraws into herself when faced by extreme hurt / rejection (whenever Jalal launches into a verbal onslaught). Perhaps she is able to take his harsh words, but not his actions that indicate he does not love her.

I am shocked to hear about the effect of Jauhar on Jalal. How did he feel about killing thousands of men in the Chittor war? Why did he feel pity for only the women?

PS: Since you brought up this topic, I heard he watched a fight between some sanyasis in which many were killed, at Thanesar? Really?

Radhika,,,,,Jauher is NOT EASY to Practice...😳...
If you go through the Padmavat, by Malik Muhammad Jayasi , then there is a description , of Jauher in that... You wil understand. That is a poem , heart wrenching...

I don't know if what I am saying is right or completely wrong or somewhere in between. But I feel trusting Jodha is more easy for Jalal. The reason why I am saying this is that Jodha's life revolves around Jalal now. She is either thinking about his life, his well-being as her beloved husband or his decisions as a Shahenshah for the welfare of his harem and awaam. If she starts acting weird suddenly, then trying to decipher her actions will still be easy for Jalal. Because for Jodha there is only Jalal and this will definitely alert his smart mind.
I cannot say the same for Jalal. His life doesn't revolve around Jodha solely. He s a King with many wives, responsibilities of awaam and the accompanying personal fanciful perks and disadvantages that comes with being a King😕. Hence Jodha's niggling trust factor is very very understandable, relatable and practical in this track. In fact I want Jalal to know why she couldn't trust him fully. And that is why I wanted Jodha to talk her heart out on Friday's episode. That would have made a meaningful two-way convo where he could learn about her fears and soothe them completely. But that never happened.
I don't know if I made sense, but felt like commenting here..😕

Pallavi,
I thought the same..I wanted that convo to be carried further, but the CV's awarded no dialogue to Jodha on that.. 😕
You caught a nice point..😊

Turns out Atga is the hero of the track, after Jalal. 👏👏👏

I should have known, considering Atga is going to be killed next week by Adham Khan. He must have been majorly responsible for Maham being exposed and punished for Adham to want to take revenge on him. 😕
Man Singh (with a stubble that showed he hadn't been himself in the last few days) didn't discover Chand Begum, after all. It was good, old Atga. And the mystery of the soldier's dress was also revealed today. 😊

Man SIngh had the grace to congratulate Atga and admit that he had been upset with Jalal and had even contemplated standing up against him. Atga displayed an amazing degree of accuracy in judging people today, be it Jalal or Man Singh. 👍🏼

Atga declared that no one from Jodha's family could ever revolt against Jalal and he knew that Man Singh's loyalty was higher than his anger against Jalal.

Atga really impressed today with his quietude, his loyalty, his faith in Jalal and his unflinching loyalty to the Mughal empire.

Poor guy,. he will soon have to pay a heavy price for this. 😭

************************************************************************

Todarmal was quiet as usual but somehow didn't seem too happy with the turn of events. Was he just being his reserved self or was he upset that Jalal had not taken him into confidence, indirectly implying that Todarmal may have been on the list of suspects. ?

**************************************************************************

On the other hand, Jalal had to take Tansen into some degree of confidence but Tansen proved his loyalty to the sultanat and Jalal by keeping his mouth shut.👏

****************************************************************************

The absence of Nigar from the nikah proceedings was explained today, as she entered with Chand Begum, on cue from Jalal.

So Jalal was aware of Chand Begum being kept within the palace itself. At least in one aspect of the track, he conducted himself well. 👏

****************************************************************************

Overall, the flashbacks and justifications given by Jalal were adequate, though not great or complete.

It was ultimately proved that Atifa entered the hamam just to clean herself and not to harm either Jalal or Jodha. And Jalal took her to a jungle safari just to learn that she knew a royal cook and had come there in search of work. 🤢

Tough luck, Abhay - you didn't get an explanation of either his self talk or his staring at Atifa's back in the jungle 😛.

********************************************************************************

I still don't know why Khyber track was introduced, since it served no useful purpose, except making Jalal angry with Jodha and giving him a chance to show his faith in Jodha.

*************************************************************************

At least, something happened as I expected. Ruq was not involved in the Atifa case and Jalal requested her to forgive him, as he had forgiven her pranks since childhood. (Does Jalal regard her transgressions also as just childish pranks? )

***********************************************************************

Finally, my turn. I also forgive Jalal because he was gracious enough to apologize to everyone.

The hurt in Jodha should recede slowly, if Jalal continues to shower attention, affection and admiration on her. I just hope he doesn't give her a chance to remember her wounds again. 😊

Friday's Episode was Nice Radhika, and Equally good was your take on that...

@Blue...
Along with those 2 events, i am still thinking why did Jalal made a FULL FLEDGED painting of Atifa, JUST after seeing her in the Hamam...?...😉...
BTW, That painting was supposed to be Jodha na.?..😉...
He could not draw that painting, but made a painting of Atifa.?.😆

Surely, CV's were trying to proceed in a different direction in this track earlier ...Isn't it.?..😕
Sin and Redemption.?.😉

Sandhya,

Interesting views..I took Ben Track and Suja Case as Different...Even though, that time Love confession was NOT there...But i mean that, Ben Track was ENOUGH for Jalal to know about her LOYALTY to him...Still, in the Sujamal Track..He did DOUBT her.. ( Ofcourse, he had a reason to doubt..But Jodha expected HIM to read her Eyes..😉 )...Similarly, here Jalal wanted Jodha to understand his plan.?. But, Jodha's situation is a BIT different... As i wrote to Pallavi in the last comment on Previous page...Overall, this plan did not strike a chord with me...😕

About Man Singh,,...Yes.there is a piece from history...He had the access and know-how, of all the tunnels in the prominent Forts of Akbar...😊

That was essential to the story because the CVs realized that they were being extremely foolish in showing Jalal doing everything alone. He needed a partner. So they tagged Atga here.

Btw, I want to know how Atga discovered CB. 😲

This is Another UN-answered Question...😆..

Hi Abhay,
It was great to read your post. Agree with everything you have said. I, for one am very disappointed with the ending of the track. More so because I expected a lot from it, and I would like to blame my dear forum friends for this. They are responsible for my sky rocketing expectation. It was supposed to be the most brilliant track of JA so far. I thought explanation for each and everything Jalal did throughout the track would be given at the end. But that didn't happen. Instead of becoming the most brilliant track, I think it has come out as the most disorganised track of JA till date.

Acc. to me the track was designed to please one set of the audience who eagerly wanted to see a strong Jalal. It was a noble idea for sure. But they failed measurably when it came to the execution part. Jalal had to do everything of his own, no matter how illogical it would look like- he did exactly that. I was hoping that atleast 2-3 main villains will be exposed (even if partially) after the track. That didn't happen. Maham appears to have completely lost her marbles and by entrapping an already dim-witted perpetrator, the teda emperor doesn't impress me much either. The Jalal and Jodha reconciliation scene in Friday's episode also seemed childish to me. I don't think that is the way a mature couple talk especially after what they had gone through. They had some serious issues to talk about. What they did was like some silly teenagers, just hugged and patched up. It's like Cvs attempt to wipe off everything in one shove. So it is useless to say whose apology was more sincere and who was right or wrong- both of them were equally silly.

Some epic lines from Friday's episode-

Maham- "Aap Shrif Aurato keliye kam karte hain Jalal, Awam ke liye nehi"- What? Isn't aurat a part of awam? Who write these dialogues?😕

Piya,
You caught a BIG POINT...I believe this track was supposed to be a bit different , i SIMPLY got a CONFIRMATION (atleast to me) after i heard this dialogue..It will be shown as the Beginning of the End of Petticoat Government...And a Signal that from now on , Women will NOT be able to Dominate Politics.....And, also, that infamous Delhi Noble Wife's Divorce Case was supposed to be latched up here...But in an altered manner..😉...
You know, the CV's wanted to show us something else, but could not, and hence these Dialogues were said,, targeting at JODHA.., that these TYPE OF WOMEN, has become his Kamjori...Though that should be pointed on someone else...Don't want to Elaborate the Entire Kahaani here..Will do in my update later...I am struggling to get time to make that Update..

Jalal
-
" Agar aapko apni awam se itni mohabbat hai to aap Chand begum ko kiun giraft mein rakha"- What is the connection between CB's confinement and Maham's love for awam Jalal?😕

Pata Nahi...I was wondering on these Dialougues of Maham...Kuch bhi likh diya writers ne..😆
But, this may be "understood" that, when She Does not cares even for a Royal Family member, for her petty interest, then how will she Love / Rule a Kingdom with an unbiased approach,..😕

Jalal-" Mein pahle thoda sa naraaz tha appse, apne apni or bacchoki zindegi Jhokem(??) mein dali shirf issi liye, khuda kasam aur kuch nehi!!!"- Like really? Mughal soldiers aur praja jaye tel lene..😡
In comparison Jodha's dialogues were more sensible in the episode.. Who can forget her grand outburst on Thursday- " Atifa Yeh tumne keya kiya, woh tumhare pati the!!!"🤣🤣

You made me laugh hard here...I did not notice this Dialogue of Jodha...🤣...
But i loved that part >> """Hum tumhe Jeevit nahi chodenge.."" 😉

Piya,
I agree with you...The track did not appear realistic...And if we start searching for explanations then there are lot of loopholes...

1. Jalal said he took Atifa to the Jungle, just for investigation..😕..Then, what about that "staring" her there..

2. He made Atifa's COMPLETE PAINTING, just after seeing her in the Hamam.?.😲..Though, that was supposed to be Jodha;s painting..?..😉..Which he was not able to draw, despite KNOWING JODHA WELL..😉...But the painting could be drawn for Atifa.?.😆😉...The track was thought to be something else..😉..

3. What about the Self-Talks.?.😕

And , after all this, the Plans did NOT look realistic at all...Since, Atga's departure was decided , hence, the CV's decided to give the ENTIRE credit ONLY to HIM. Otherwise, Man Singh and TodarMal could have been roped in...😊

Anyways, the track ended EARLY...Hence, we should move to the next one..And, that gives some sunshine also...JJ together after long..

Hi Mandy,

I am transferring this post here from this Link::>> 111943425 , and replying it now.. :)

abhay, i disagree here, i knew akbar only and i m from the north, i came to know about MUZ after JA movie..i had read more about Akbar in history and many other books but never his personal life..and i was his fan from day1...!

We all present here have read about Akbar , in our school books..Hence, we all know him..
What i was saying in that post { 111942343 } is >> We did not care to know about him in DETAILS..before ...

As a Kid, i also, used to read about the rulers, going in school libraries...
I wonder if anyone was reading those OLD accounts , viz. Akbarnama, etc. etc. , to know about him, before also.?.But NOW many do it...<< This is what i was saying...

@BLUE...If that is the case then, here is something i know..

1. The serial, Akbar-The Great, on DD, which aired in 1980's, DID SHOW, Jodha as a beloved WIFE of Akbar...

2. The serial, Nur Jahan, again on DD, which aired earlier than that, also had SHOWN JODHA as the Beloved Wife of Akbar..

3. The movie, Mughal-e-Azam, though, the story is more or less based on Salim-Anarkali fiction, but there also, Jodha was the Beloved/Chief Wife of Akbar..

4. Finally, Ashutosh's movie, Jodha Akbar had shown the same in 2008...

5. Ekta's serial is dealing with their story in a more detailed manner...

So, ALMOST ANY TELE-SERIAL involving Akbar, had Jodha in it...And, people, knew about it, BEFORE the MOVIE of 2008 and before this Serial...
