The television industry is mourning the sudden demise of junior artist Sanjeeb Singh, who reportedly passed away after suffering a heart attack while returning home from a shoot. The 51 year old actor had just wrapped up filming for the television show Dr Aarambhi when the incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, raising fresh concerns about the demanding work schedules faced by artists and crew members.

According to a News9 report, Sanjeeb was shooting at SJ Studio in Mumbai's Saki Naka. Federation of Western India Cine Employees General Secretary Ashok Dubey revealed that the actor had reported to the set around 2 pm, and the shoot continued until nearly 3 am.

Dubey further shared that Sanjeeb had not been feeling well during the shoot. He was reportedly experiencing uneasiness and had taken short breaks to rest in between filming. Despite his condition, he completed the shoot before leaving for home on his motorcycle.

However, tragedy struck during his journey back. As per the initial information, Sanjeeb stopped at a petrol pump to refuel his bike when he suddenly collapsed. He is believed to have suffered a heart attack. His untimely death has once again sparked conversations around the long working hours in the film and television industry and the impact they can have on the health and wellbeing of artists and technicians. The incident has also prompted many members of the television fraternity to question whether adequate medical support, reasonable shooting schedules, and regular health check ups are being prioritised on sets, especially for those working long and physically demanding shifts.
