I really do not agree with this portrayal of Jodha where she would go off with a man just because she sympathizes with him. Nor would the Jodha I know be unaware of the problem Khyber can pose to others, even if he is kind to her.

Like you say, the track hasn't redeemed Jalal, but destroyed both JJ.

The CVs sense of responsibility ends with the disclaimer. I never thought I would say this. Nor did I think I would read such a post from you.

We always maintained that the show was not fiction but a dramatised version of history. The present track seems to have affected us too negatively.

Whoever the CVs may be, women in Hindi serials have no value. Either they are scheming "ladies" or crying "ladies". There is no in-between zone for them. So we can have either the ever-scheming, jealous Ruq, or the ever-crying and much-misunderstood Jodha.

I seriously wonder how Salima has been shown to be balanced so far. Wonder when she will get butchered?

As long as the plan works, all is forgiven because it is the hero's plan. I shudder what would have happened if Jodha had learnt of some danger to her kids or to Jalal and behaved like this with Jalal.

The one who says he cannot live without Jodha

or

The one who feels Jodha has abused his love and trust?

This is not the first time since his famous bringing Jodha back from death scene that he has ripped her through verbally. It happened earlier in the Sujamal track and it's happening now.

We are hoping that he may be acting,. it may be some jadu tona or he may be under some spell.

We are happy he held her hand and trusted her.

But as a woman, I know Jodha can never completely erase those harsh words from her psyche, no matter how loving and attentive he may be to her after the track is over. No matter what his intentions may have been. No matter how dangerous the circumstances may have been.

And how long will that phase of loving Jodha continue? Till the next insult Jodha track is scripted.

Who gives the CVs the right to show Jalal playing with Jodha's emotions in this manner and leaving her totally confused as to what's there really in his heart - passionate love or wild anger/hatred?

To make her the the winner in diversities. The show is that queen centric. But unfortunately it is Jalal's image that suffers most, not the queen's. He ends up looking dumb and she comes out in trumps.

Real Akbar would NEVER have treated MUZ that way.

Royalty is something that is grossly absent in the show except perhaps in the characterisation of Salima.😕

BUT @Bold...No matter what we all think, but this SHOW has re-surrected Akbar's Image to a Large extent in the Masses .. :)
We all here know about HIS Greatness, hence we HAIL him...But take a look at the Net and see the views on AKBAR, and you will shocked out of your senses. :(
Take a view of MUZ on many sites, and you will be shocked even MORE...

I know. I did turn to the net when I saw the movie and wanted to know more about MUZ. Akbar, I knew about him, read a lot about him from school libraries and admired him a lot though I have never had much taste for his ancestors or successors. So naturally I dismissed all negative info on him as false. But the sites that speak ill of MUZ...they are thoroughly despicable. Not just her, there some sites on PRC and Samyutka too that shock you. May be PRC did do a political blunder by gallantly forgiving Ghori and being the cause of the change of course of Indian history. But cheapening him and his wife was personally SO MEAN AND CHEAP. Wonder if it is only OUR great kings who are victims of e-slander or all emperors suffer too. I have long stopped believing web info , esp after I saw how much it is subject to change.(remember reference 39 which is now 45😉).

The present TRACK has gone extremes in portrayal, but overall if you see, this show has re-resurrected Akbar's image a LOT... NOT many people knew that Akbar reformed so much in Hindustan.. NOT many knew that he abolished Jaziya, etc taxes.. I am TALKING about the masses(with due respect to them).i/we are a part of them .. You must be surprised to know that while many MODERN historians and many friends here say they DO NOT know about Jodha-Akbar before the movie/serial, but take a stroll in the Northern Belt of India, and you will know he is MORE famous among the masses DUE to his relation with his HINDU Begum / Mother of Salim.. How many of us cared to know about Akbar BEFORE this show.?. :)

I have.😊. also I am one of those who was totally ignorant of HK before the film released.😕.Actually I have never cared for Akbar's personal life.😕. But yes his marriage to his Hindu begum was popular in the Golden Triangle. My dad told me and so did some friends AFTER I bothered to ask them after reading your/kamal's posts. (I've told you that I've lived in Delhi as a kid )

The present track has done gross injustice to MUZ. Nobody could just carry her off and she was certainly no law-breaker to defy Akbar's orders and release political prisoners in the name of 'manushyatha'. She wouldn't have tended to a darinda right in the palace prisons. I was as dissatisfied with her portrayal as I was with Jalal's in the Mathura track and the so called war.

Our Forum NORMALLY is divided between JJ on the issue of who is doing what. :D But, I am talking of the Larger picture, i can not explain it here. Otherwise, you see , how is Akbar depicted in other Show running on the TV. :(

Don't remind me. It was 😡. I just happened to watch the last few minutes of the show that aired just before Yudh it was so intolerable.

He was somewhere between what is shown in both these shows..
I am not saying JA CV's are doing Full Justice, but atleast on Moral Grounds, here, the image of Akbar as an Emperor was MUCH Better, barring few NON-sense portrayals. :)

Yes, on Moral Grounds his portrayal has been good here inspite of his dumbness

But when a person knows, if he will take wrong decesions, now someone has come who will React, so he confuses, so His behaviour will sure different, Because, He wants to Learn From Jodha, But Thoughts contrast, reached him

indifferent behaviour, but when his emotions come to extreem, he Hold her Hand, because he can't control emotions. He wants to live Heart life.
