Updated on 23rd august:

Anjali speaks up.

Thats a huge first for Shlok and NA. Anjali has openly said that Astha is right, that NA is wrong. Which means she accepts openly that NA did the whole Ashram nonsense and to cover that up he set fire to his room.
She has not spoken about the abuse, of that he wanted to send Jyoti to the hellhole back to abhay.
That huge step is still there...but today there was huge progress in Shlok's mission to liberate his mom. All thanks to Astha. Shlok wanted to make Astha so alone that Anjali is forced to protect her.

In the room, Shlok comes and asks Astha if she changed her mind...and then instigates her by throwing her things at her. Her gold,,which might be useful to her in the future...he makes sure she has something with her to sustain.

Shlok's look of pride everything Astha gives it back to him, aks him to remain in his limits, ask to speak with respect, tells him she is his wife and knows her rights..refuses to leave, refuses to bend to NA...each of those things...he is proud of her. And his sense of relief and accomplishment when Anjali speaks up...just see his face. First his mother has spoken up. Second...his Astha is not going to be alone.

Shlok may don some avatar to help Astha...to bring NA down..lets see whats in store for us.
What i really wants to see is Anjali beating the hell out of NA, publicly, with the support of all three of her children.

Few days back we saw Krishna blessing Arjun , with the words "Ab jao".That was the very casually done, fun filled and sweet blessing from Shlok standing on the top stairs and blessing Astha , in a sweet romantic scene between husband and wife. When Shlok raised his right hand in the blessing gesture and said that to Astha, it was not meant just for her next work or for time pass. It was meant to be the ending of Gita bodhan. Means that time in war, when Krishna gave geetopdesh and asked Arjun to fight against his own people for Dharma. All along since the day of marriage, what Shlok has been doing with Astha, it was a preparation of what is to come when the real war starts between Evil ( NA) and Truth/Goodness(Astha).

In the Mahabharat war, Krishna 's army fought for Kauravas , because Krishna pledged allegience to both sides . He was with Pandavas as thier sarathi..the driver of the ratha. But his wealth and army were with Kauravas. Similarly Shlok now is divided into two. His allegience is openly with Baba because thats his primary Putradharma. He is born to NA. Therefore his first duty is to support his father. Second his duty is towards truth, correcting his father and being a correct husband to Astha...which he is doing by motivating Astha, by provoking her and cornering her into being absolutely brave and strong.

That day of the blessing , though was a sweet scene between a couple on the outside , spelled doom for thier relationship because whatever Shlok needed to teach AStha , he has finished doing so. He has empowered her to be strong in his face from first night itself. Now his angry mean behavior hurts Astha and cuts through her, but does not break her...she stood so strong ..so strong that on three occasions I saw a spark of respect for her on Shlok's face.

One was when she says that she is not his servant, that she has not given anybody the right to slap her...that he should remain in his limits. Shlok was proud of her for a millisecond ..and Anjali is shameful that she could not say those words to NA,
Second was when he asks her to apologize of get out. She refuses to submit to evil. There is a hind of pride in his face again.
Third was when he tells to to leave the house, she sticks to her guns and says that the house is as much hers..she asserts her rights in the house and clearly states that neither he nor his Baba can ask her to go out. Again there is that " Thats my girl " look in Shlok for a fraction of a second.

Actually Shlok is not blind to any truth..rather he has been yelling at the top of his voice that he very well knows what his Baba is ...he knows his father more than Astha.Shlok already does know his father 's dark face.So what is Shlok waiting for? Shlok is waiting for his mother to strike against her evil husband and he is using Astha to push Anjali to that point. Anjali has tolerated years of abuse and allowed it on herlself...but if she sees the same abuse on her sweet child Astha..that Astha that fought for her freedom, Anjali will not take it, She will stand up for AStha someday..and she may even tell Astha to leave Shlok and not live a life of Abuse like herself.
That is the only way Anjali will break her silence, if she sees Astha having to tolerate same things as her. Anjali has spoken up for Jyoti thanks to Astha. Now, Anjali will stand up for her in the upcoming track at some point.
That is Shlok's real motive..to awaken the tigress in his mother. Just exposing NA's truth openly to the world is not enough. That exposure has to lead to some change. In the lack of any evidence of NA's wrongdoings, it is Anjali who will ultimately provide witness and evidence to NA's darkness for the sake of protecting Astha. That is where this track will get into...I feel that Shlok is going to abuse AStha a little more before Anjali becomes Astha's shield.

Astha told clearly that she will not leave until she proves her truth and Na's evilness. But the day she proves it and truth becomes self evident, Astha is going to leave Shlok. She might be pregnant but his words that he doesnt care if she is dead or alive are going to cause her to leave him. And Shlok will not stop her because he knows that was going to happen. He has zeroed in on her because he loves her and also because she has the truthfulnes and righteousness in her that he needs for his family. He has trained her to fight with him when needed. he has trained her to keep silent about certain things until times comes. He has seen her bringing change to Jyoti and Anjali. Now by not supporting her, he is forcing Anjali to support Astha.
But in all this he very well knows he is losing AStha...because after the war she will go away from him. Then another story of redemption of Shlok as a husband will start..because his role as Krishna will end.
Then the story will be of how Shlok brings Astha to their dream house.

Kudos Kudos Astha for the strong spirit you show us , where you have put truth and courage much before marital relationship. If only Anjali had the courage to do that, all this would not ave happened. In tolerating abuse, we never do the right thing for us or our children. We rather teach them that the way to live and survive is by tolerating the wrongs done to us. That will only spiral the next generation to use abuse as a form of control in relationships, either by doing it or by tolerating it. It takes guts and courage to break the cycle...Anjali has not been able to break it, but together with Astha she will. Shlok's job has been to get these two women to align with each other..to be protective to each other, and to do that he has to don the mask of being a bad husband. If Shlok supports Astha, Anjali will never have to change. isnt it?

Shlok is doing all this for his mother, and that will be his only defense when Astha leaves him.

Wonderful work by team EBP...kudos. Glued.

Beuatiful post jalapari and very true. The story that the Cvs showed us in the dream house sequence is coming true.

Shlok will leave his house one day and go with Astha but that will happen only after NA is exposed. So Astha has been the one to break the house and Shlok is standing, watching her for he will get his work done through Astha. Women have to fight for their own rights and that is what he is making Astha and Anjali do. Yes the day he blessed Astha he was testing her to see if is she listening to him and she did and that is when he came and blessed her "Vijayi Bhava". Yes it was the same when Arjun comes down from his chariot and bends his hands in front of Srikrishna who then blesses him to be victorious. Our HAS has to come true for otherwise what is there in the show? Shlok has made many statements time and again and showed with his actions that he is preparing Astha to fight for his ultimate maksad. I remember the scene when he removed the mask and again when he lifter Astha to put the balloons so well. They imply so much.

Cant congratulate Shrenu enough for her performance today. It was done beyond comparison. Reminded me of her first suhaag raat and the temple scene with fire at night. Avi, Geetanjali and Manishji performed very well too. Dont have enough words to describe the great job by the whole team today.

You theory is 100 % justified...and it might be about suppressed memories...But Shlok in his sane mind knows that Astha does not lie, and if she does something weird its for the betterment of somebody. He admitted that in Aditi track. So for Shlok to keep blaming AStha without listening to her etc...its a clear case of Shlok trying to cover up for NA even though he knows very well Astha is truthful and right. Why he is covering up for NA?
Because NA is a horrible man who can murder...like he got Pawar killed..which probably Shlok knows. He knows if NA is not allowed to win...he will likely do more bad like hurting AStha or her family badly..maybe even attempting to murder them. Of course there might be many things which i dont know which Cvs have to uncover for us...but from the expressions I saw on Shlok last 2/3 episodes...he still loves Astha a lot...he is hurting himself by hurting Astha.

@bluejalpari : Shlock not listening to Aastha could just mean denial also. I can relate to it because I kinda used to act like that around my grandad who I worshipped during my growing up years, wouldn't hear anything against him. When we question our heros we are mostly questioning ourselves , our capabilities which is not easy if not the most difficult thing to do. And I come from a supportive , nuturing environment. Imagine how much more difficult it would be for damaged Shlock.
My problem with HAS is , how could Shlock simply wait for the womenfolk to react inspite of knowing about the abuse. How is a son who lets his mom's abuse continue as a part of some psychological exercise , a hero ? Makes him worse than NA. If a man can abuse and demean a woman, a man can support , respect and nurture her too. We don't need a woman to come around. Shlock has many vices but cowardice isn't one of it. But if he sat around all these years waiting evenafter knowing about the abuse makes him just that.
Krishna didn't wait around for Pandavas to see sense while Draupadi was being humiliated . He rescued her. He literally kidnapped Shaibya to free her of her unhealthy obsession with KalaYavana. If Shlock was Krishna he would have reacted a long time back.

I am confused .One man abuses wife, another cheats on his wife , one keeps taunting his SIL hoping she woukd stand up, the son gets home a spirited young lady to teach his mom about independence but never did or will do anything to support her himself 😕 The womenfolk have to fend for themselves because their men are either cruel, hypocritical or cowardly. Where is the new soch in this ? All men on TV have been portrayed as pricks over the years anyways.

Hi jalpari good to c u dear it has been a while since i saw ur post tank u dear for this superb post my God very well written hats off👏
i really love when i c such a deep analise had to appreciate u guys and i really love when u guys compare mahabharat with our very own show even though i have no enough knowledge still fascinating to read about it as it explains about fighting evil against good in this case NA and astha.
i also loved the scene "Few days back we saw Krishna blessing Arjun , with the words "Ab jao".That was the very casually done, fun filled and sweet blessing from Shlok standing on the top stairs and blessing Astha , in a sweet romantic scene between husband and wife" Very well said it seemed shlok teasing astha but u put it beautifuly shlok as krishna blessing her and saying jao and astha as arjun. and now the war is declared it will b interesting how arjun/astha tackles her long list task with Na and her dear pati dev.

The show is about to complete 1 year..so I dont think Shlok has any hidden agenda behind his actions..

I agree with @bold...
