Chapter 11
Astha gave another glaring glance at Shlok, who was laughing at the top of his lungs, she couldn't help snap at him.
"It isn't funny!"
"You..you look ridiculous!" He said in between chuckles.
She tried, tried her best to not look like a fool in Shlok's clothes, but she looks like one and she can't do anything, he is a bloody giant and she a tiny being, now he's laughing his heart out, seeing her in this extra large clothes of him.
"It's because you are bloody giant with abnormal size!"
He stopped laughing and stared at her, she stopped breathing.
What have you done you fool?! No one insult the Captain! He's gonna do it! He's gonna beat me!
"Still." He said seriously but then burst into another round of laughter.
For two seconds she stared at him, she doesn't know if she get angry for worrying her or feel happy that she didn't get any beating. Out of frustration, she stalked out of the cabin, only to be back within a moment with clenched fist and grind teeth while listening to the laughter of other crew member who just saw her.
"I'm sorry lad. I guess..guess--"
"Hey Shlok! What happen to the crew, they are--" Anshul said but stopped right away seeing Astha and laughed.
Astha fumed with anger and embarrasment, she shouted loud enough, that it reached out of cabin, all the way to the deck.
"SHUT THE HELL UP! IDIOTS!"
Everyone did stop, she marched out of the room and stood at the deck, leaning against the railing and kept her eyes on the vast ocean.
After few moments, she heard murmurs and then one voice called out for her.
"Hey shortie! look here!" She heard one of the crew. She tilted her head uniterestedly, still brooding but all of a sudden her anger faded, a new feeling creeped up in her heart, she gasped at the view, she never expected this. Every single crewman along with the Captain stood there, with thier hands holding their ears, a gesture for asking forgiveness.
"SORRYY!!!!" They all said at once.
"Will you forgive us, laddie?" She heard the Captain say.
She blinked at them, trying to savor the moment, touched by thier action gave a slow smile then cheerfully replied "Of course!"
Every one cheered.
"Let's have a banquet today for the newest crew, though he joined in different circumstances, but still let us include him in our family, let's celebrate tonight for him!" Captain said.
"AYE, CAPTAIN!!!"
She couldn't believe it, a celebration for her, a mere cabin boy, she gazed at Shlok, she doesn't want to admit but she know she felt respect for him, she respect him now.
"Let's go, shortie! I'll show you the whole ship!" One of the crew said and totted her along with him until another voice stopped.
"Who says you're going to show him? Let's go squirt I'll show you." He said and pulled her to him.
"No! Both of you don't know much, I'll show you, laddie, by the way what's your name?" Another voice came.
She didn't know how to answer the question, she doesn't want to lie nor can she tell the truth.
"I was the first to suggest, I'll take him!"
"As if you know much"
"Watch your mouth, you ugly dog!" He said and started toward him.
And then the bantering started, Astha have a relief sigh, at least she escaped from answering the question.
"When you guys stop killing each other, go back to your work, I'll give the lad tour of this ship." Anshul said.
"Ah! Don't bother Anshul I will do that, since I'm the Captain!"
"I said I will do it besides you have work to do!"
"Work can wait."
She looked them shockingly as they started thier bantering, she looked sideways at the previous one who were fighting and still are then again looked at the new one. Out of sudden she felt a hand gripping her elbow, she jerked and looked at new face.
"I guess they will not stop fighting and you will not get your tour, come along with me,brave man." He whispered in her ear and took her along with him. No one notice them going since they were so buzy fighting.

"I was waiting for you to answer but you didn't gave one, what's you name, mine is Abhay."
She groaned inwardly, she don't want to lie but she have no other choice.
"I don't know, never had one, I'm actually orphan."
"Oh! It must be hard, growing up alone." He asked
She gave a faint smile but didn't dare reply him, to her relief he understood.
"You are no more orphan now since you're joining our family. You will never find a ship like this. Ah! Captain as well, though he is kinda dangerous in anger but he is very pure from heart. He is very famous in England, you may have not heard since you're from America but it's true he's pretty famous among upper class gentry." then he added with a wink "especially woman! He's the most notorious rake!"
RAKE! HE'S A RAKE! what can she expect from him, obviously he will be rake since he's very handsome! Why am I even surprised? It's better I stay away from him.
"Hey brat! Quit dilly dallying around here and fix my cabinet!" She heard Shlok from her behind.
Speaking of the devil!
She swung around to face him, and snapped back "I wasn't dilly dallying! He was showing me the ship and I guess I will resume to my damn duties!" she turned to Abhay and smiled at him " Thank you Abhay, I enjoyed your company! Will see you later!"
Shlok tried his best to control his anger, he couldn't comprehend his feelings but he doesn't like her feeling happy with another man. The moment he heard that Abhay took her away with him, he felt like ripping Abhay apart, he instantly ran after them.
"Will see you later, laddie! I enjoyed your company as well!" Abhay replied.
With a smile to Abhay and glare to Shlok she left them alone.
Shlok fumed, how dare she smile at him and look daggers at me? One day I will wring her neck.
"You! Do your work!"
"Aye, Captain!"
