Jolly was good. I am still trying to figure out what was wrong with Emon's performance. I heard it like 2 - 3 times, and I think it sounds good. I dunno what Javed Akhtar was saying. Frankly out of all the songs sung today, Emon, Prashant and Deepali picked the hardest songs, so I think so slack should be cut. I have just one complaint with Emon and Deepali. I am surprised that both of them didn't sing the swar part of the song. Esp in Mitwa, it sounds fantastic, if you can handle that swar and then go the Mitwaaa, you have proven that you are one of the best singers.

It was a good show, Richa annoyed me, she sounded flat compared to the rest. I didn't think Puja was that bad ki judges gave her a hell. She wasn't at her best, but def. not that bad also.

My expectations were almost met. I still wish the judges gave better critism. But I was watching SRGMP today and also VOI, though the singing on VOI todya was exceptional, the judges comments on II were much better but there is a HUGE room for improvement.

I was annoyed at the contradictions. How can 2 people say ki singer is totally off and the other 2 say she wasnt, for Charu's case it was weird. And Deepali DIDN'T sing flat, she was really good !!!

😆😆Yes. I did and I am still glad because it feels great when contestants rise above expectations. I was so disappointed with the song selections and besura renditions.

The reason why I am loving this season is that we have so much to choose from and lots of talent which is at par...

each week I will expect the contestants to give their best...I have to admit that I have no clear favorites for the title right now!

I have a soft corner for Chang but I dont think he can win the title...I will be happy to see him in the top 5 tho'
the strong contenders are from Boys Emon and Abhishek...and Amit Paul of course who is emerging as the dark horse...Prashant with his regional vote base could also surprise everyone...
Among the girls Deepali is the only girl who can compete on the basis of talent...
Ankita...I am not sure how far the audiences will support her but she is the next strong girl in the competition!

Despite my hope that this years winner would be a girl...I think that the boys stand a far better chance!

Whatever happened to the theme rounds for the galas??? 😕

I think today's theme was recent/new songs. Many of the songs were fairly new.

Last year's first gala had a similar theme.

My thoughts almost!

This is a whole lot of really really talented people here and one can't say right now as to who the strongest is. Like you, I also have a soft corner for Chang but there are others who are technically better than him like Emon, Amit etc and I'd want the most deserving one to win. I also think people might not want him to win this thing but judging by his fan-base, he'll go far in the competition ( InshAllah) if he continues to do great.This doesn't mean one can't hope for Chang to go as far in the competition as he can, I personally want to keep listening to his singing as much as I can get my ears on.

Judging by our top 13's performances till date, for me, Emon is currently the most deserving to win the title but this opinion might change in future.

If Jolly continues to sing like she did yest., she can prove to be Deepali's toughest competitor.

On another note, Puja is a good singer and she deserves another chance but I have a feeling she might go today since Parleen's fans will save him no matter what.

i would like to hear recent songs. no more kishor-rafi-lata-asha songs. these days some beautiful songs hv been composed. i wud like to hear sau dard hai and ajnabi sheher hai from jaaneman.
i wish emon and abhishekh get to sing the songs.

overall i wud like to see fantastic performances along with good singing.
and another thing that i wud most like to see is sensible voting by public. let the weaker performers be eliminated first, only then there will be really tough competition and i wud definitely like to see emon in the top 3.
