Wasn't Krishna dark?

Krishna is considered dark avatar of Vishnu but in the serial he is so fair skinned . Why did they make him fairer?

do u seriously want to see SRJ on blue or black paint or worse star bharat photoshop everyday ?? even arjun and draupadi were dark...so imagine pooja shaheer and saurabh photoshoped or painted the answer is in front of u 😉😆

But they should not have made him totally fair skinned. They could have shown him dark brown.
