Sanjni,
You have touched on many of the pain points in Rangrasiya 2. To begin with, I love Sanaya. She is commendable in any role. However, in this particular story, one can't help but cast their mind back from Myra to Paro, making unconscious comparisons. I strongly believe that we have not been given fair time to appreciate Myra's character enough as we did Paro. It's sad that we have just been introduced to Myra and instead of expanding on her as a person, we get to see indigestible interactions between her and Rudra (fights and eye locks). There are many of us ardent viewers who fell in love with PaRud's love story, and are still recovering from Paro's death. It's certainly difficult to accept that another person would fill Paro's place in Rudra's life, let alone Paro's own lookalike!

Furthermore, the age difference between Myra and Rudra concerns me. If you have to place them in a real life situation, I honestly don't think that Rudra (37 year old, mature, father of a 6 year old son) would remotely find Myra (early 20's, carefree, modern, foreigner etc.) attractive, if she did not share the same face of his dead wife. I mean, they are a generation apart! I guess in the urgent need to make both Paro's and Myra's characters so strikingly different, and have Rudra fall in love with both under very different circumstances, there are many important considerations that are being overlooked. Perhaps this is also in attempt to wrap up the show sooner than expected.

I am an international viewer and sincerely appreciate Sanaya as an artist, however owing to the unfortunate deterioration in the story and a feeble attempt to recapture the magic with a Paro lookalike, Rangraisya has lost its luster for me, and no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to reconnect with the enchantment that I had once felt for Rangrasiya.

But then with that we also require some amount of mature and sensitive handling of the story so that it does not jeopardize the emotions that have already set in with time for the story and the characters. We ask connectivity from makers so as to allow this a smooth transition in give and take deal with them and I dont think I need to mention the honest and genuine need to convince us that the reason behind all this deviation was worth it after all.

At this point...it seems we the viewers have are the only ones doing our share of the deal while the makers are not taking any effort on their part to maintain their side of the deal. Its then when all this becomes indigestable and highly toxic for people like us who have invested emotions ...time and trust in makers.

i have to agree that the way they are handling Myrah's entry into Rudra's life is simply very wrong at most levels esp if we look at the baggage Rudra carries and a lot more sensitive handling...a lot more mature story telling is required...but they choose this trip fall catch route...and I just want to puke! SIgh!

Awww...your lill munchkin sounds so cute😳

My munchkin is a riot already ... all of 6+ months. 😃
All I want from the CV's is a good storyline ..but why r they messing it up big time? I cant take it in that they messed up the most beautiful moments of Parud for this cheesy romance ...where there is no place for it yet and it is still being shown weirdly.
Also, I do not like kids to be used for such purposes... like locking them up in same room etc. which is what will happen probably tonite... children should be playing child like pranks and not playing cupids for God sake! Are they kids then.. ?
I am sitting tight and watching as to what they will show next though I can see that they are trying to ape KKHH fully... the janamashtmi celebration where Myrah dresses up Paro like is all to prove Myrah has Indian roots and qualities which is why she will be singing a song ! What is this going to do to make Myrah - Rudra as a couple... well. lets see it play out .. then we can discuss or fuss.. LOL . 😆

Hi, awesome post and wonderful discussion going on. The other members have stated why myrah-rudra isnt working for them. I agree.

Myrah-rudra will never work for me,too. ( unless , ofcourse if myrah =Paro😳)

My reasons are simple.

A) this is how i see both Rudra and Paro.

Rudra: a set of puzzle
Paro: the last piece needed to make the puzzle (him) complete.

Rudra was incomplete before paro entered his life. She completed the man. She completed and complemented the jallad. She became his family. She gave him his family back. she gave the jallad love..peace..happiness..she became balm for his hurting soul. Paro accepted the jallad for who he is..cshe did not try to change him...he changed for her...

-A number of the forumwasis complained that 'the falling in love process' was rushed. ...but to me it was perfect. I didn't 'need' 110 episodes of 'trip-fall-catch', shawls flying, and other ordinary stuff, It took me one episode...one scene (to be precise) to accept that these two were made for each other. The moment paro died, the puzzle (rudra) became incomplete again. Nothing will make him complete .its been 7 long years and the man still hasn't moved on. She still lives in him.. Mhaari paro.. Paro is still rudra's beginning...and end...his world. No one can change taht. Not even Rudra. The man is an empty shell...Body without soul.

B) I this posted this on frustration thread a couple of days ago..' Myrah deserves to be loved for who she is not who she looks like'. Do you really think she'd be able to compete with paro's ghost??? Because thats what its going be...competition between myrah and paro's ghost...i dont have spell who will emerge as winner... We all know answer to that.

As for the precap--- 🤢

Beautifully written. You captured my entire feelings about PaRud and this track. The bolded part is my favorite: Danveer once told Rudra (when Paro proposed to Rudra) that all you need is a moment to know love and that's what Rudra and Paro had. Like you said, they didn't need to bicker 24/7, fall on each other or any of these cliche tropes you see in most shows to know their feelings. Once Paro knew, she stuck to her guns and didn't have an ounce of hesitation or embarrassment to follow her heart. I feel Rudra loved her from the day he met her, which explained his softness for her even when she was his prisoner in the beginning when he was a jallad. Their love story was perfectly depicted - that they were Shiva and Parvati reincarnated as Rudra and Paro.

Which is why Myrah and Rudra don't remotely work. They don't fit at all, not because she's from the West and he's a widower, but because their personalities are mismatched. Paro knew Rudra's soul. Even when he would be harsh with her, she knew he didn't mean it because his eyes conveyed something else completely. Rudra, in turn, protected her from nearly every single instance of pain from anyone. The thought of her hurt pained him and he would whatever it took to protect her. This was their love. What basis would Myrah and Rudra have? Their foundation for love is non-existent because they have nothing that they would do for each other. Here's it's just opposites attract... and that's it. Rudra and Paro had opposites attract, but they weren't so opposite because they were destined to be and completed each other.

Thank you all for reading and replying and keeping this thread at the sanest possible level without getting draped in mud.

I guess we all can figure out where the story is headed and it simply breaks my heart to know I invested so much time and emotions on this. I do regret believing in the maker's vision coz they themselves were never confident about the same.

Tomorrow they might or might not make Myrah=Paro...but that will not change the fact that this show did not have to go through all this and that Myrah was never suppose to even exist.

Oh well...I feel a deep sense of loss and take with me memories of this show that will remain burdened on my heart and mind...Sigh!

Same here Sajni! All this did not need to happen... there were a million other ways to take the show further.
