IIdol producing only Stage Performers. Y?

The one thing I notice that Indian Idol top contestant does not get much break in Bollywood....they sing a song or max 2 for bollywood movies and then they elop...and we hear about them later is that they are doing stage show.... or struggling to release there own album and seems that they are having hard time finding somebody who can sponsor there album ( take near abour 30 lakh Rs to release and market an album)

Whereas SaReGaMa has given some very promising singers to the Bolly wood Industry like Sunidhi Chauhan, Kunal Ganjawala, Shreya Ghoshal, Sneha Pant...👏etc I don't remember all the names....

Sony on the other hand is not able to give even 1 promising singer through Indian Idol to Bollywood industry. All they show in Indian Idol is Masala/Drama

What lacks in Indian Idol that the top contestants just fade away after so much publicity ??? and are visible in stage shows only ....no body shined like Sunidhi Chauhan, Kunal Ganjawala or Shreya Ghoshal😕

sunidhi was not from SRGMP! she was from a show called "Meri Aawaz Suno" It used to come on Doordarshan! 😊 lata mangeshkar was the judge there....

Okay even after eliminating Sunhidi....SaReGaMa has some success ratio with bollywood but Indian Idol has Zero....I guess Sony does not care once the show is off they does not do anything to promote those singer....used them now leave them ...

this show is not to do anything with success ratio with bollywood

Zee has not promoted these talented singers
of course that time there was only one programme which finds the true talent.
ok these singers got a very good platform from Zee.
now each channel is competing with each other and you can see that the range of singers in all these channels.

i think srgmp and SVOI have betterr singers than II 1,2,3 .
if we say good voice or talented singer, we get only 2 or 3 contestants from II.all others are above average only.

ok take average singers selected by ZEE. Debojit.where is he now.
what happened to other singers who were crowned the 04 and 03 titles.
where is Rahul(srgmp winner and II top 10),Arpita.

so dont say that sony is using this contestants, sony is giving such a good platform for them, they have been recognised by all indians(music lovers)

and pls dont compare a 3 year show with a 15 year show and sunidhi's,shreya's talent with these contestants.

what happened to sanjeevani - srgmp fame? only kareeb songs were hit after that where is she.

so it is not the show

it's the talent which is recognised. if they have talent which can be compared to sunidhi's or shreya's they will also reach there.

Actually SRGMP Success ratio is just Shreya. Kunal didn't get into Bollywood because he was in SRGMP but because it was his dedication.

We have to understand one thing, Shreya and Sunidhi came when Alka and Kavita were leaving, there was a good gap for singers with such voices. Now with both Shreya and Sunidhi going strong and singers like Shipa Rao (Javeda Zindagi), Richa Sharma, Madhushree singing occasionally and Alka and Kavita ji still singing, its hard for any singer to break into. We really cant blame the channel.

A classic example of the above is Sanjeevani, she came into the industry when Alka was at her peak, look what happened to her, a few songs and she vanished.

Same with the guys. Sonu Nigam himself struggled so much to break into the mainstream bollywood with Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan at their peak. It was only till late 90s that Sonu Nigam was able to make a mark. As Udit and Kumar Sanu slowly started cutting down the songs, were Sonu, Shaan, Kunal and KK able to rise.

I used to initialyl get very annoyed when the winners of reality shows aren't given chances but then again, its not a channels fault. Naresh Iyer is a classic example. He took part in Channel [V]'s super singer, which was even before Indian Idol 1. He wasn't even selected into the top 50 of the competition. Adnan Sami was the main judge and on one of the episodes, Rahman came too. It was the episode form 75 - 50. After hearing Naresh Iyer, who sang a Carnatic song, the next day Rahman told hm.I hve a good news and a bad news. bad news is, you have to say bye to this competition and good news is that come 2mo to the recording studio. The rest is history. Naresh Iyer sang in some of Rahman's fantastic music works in Tamil, telugu and made a debut in hindi RDB and won the R D Burman award for that ! Now that is what luck is about !!

Whom would you credit his sucess too? Channel V, Super Singer ?? I would say to himself !

indian idol format is good to identify an all rounder mainly focussing on singing talent, however this goes missing for various reasons - whether its regional affection bringing in votes or Sony producers play around a bit to improve their TRPs - in the due course the real talent never wins the title...this is my opinion 😊

Shreya Goshal, Kunal Ganjawala, Sanjeevani are from SRGMP
Sunidhi Chauhan is from Meri Awaaz Suno, which used to come on Star Plus, hosted by Anu Malik with Lata Mangeshkar as a judge for the finals.
Naresh Iyer is from Channel V's Super Singer.
