Bollywood actors are a performing ilk, sometimes they perform on screen, sometimes on stage. At other times they dance at private functions. Of late, stars, in their attempt to supplement their movie assignments with solid cash, seem to be resorting more and more to 'private' dancing.

Priyanka Chopra and Akshay Kumar

The latest stars to shake limbs and hips for a private gathering are Priyanka Chopra and Akshay Kumar. The two stars secretly flew to Turkey last night and danced on the occasion of industrialist Sanjay Vadera's 40th birthday. The party was held at Istanbul.

Vadera had apparently pulled out all stops to make his birthday bash a 'Bollywood special'. Akshay and Priyanka were part of a staged spectacle that lasted for several hours.

Says a filmmaker, "I think iconic stars have a responsibility towards their audience and to themselves. They shouldn't reduce themselves to performing on request, for a bunch of star-struck NRIs."

We've also got news that last night Salman Khan, Bipasha Basu, Dia Mirza and Rani Mukherji performed at Ramesh Shah's son's wedding at a 5-star hotel in South Mumbai.

performin at private functions...i cant believe how someone can just label that as "wrong". geez, these people are part of the Entertainment Industry. thats their job, to entertain. doesnt matter if its in front of 1000s or 100s. sheesh.

and anyways, akki rocks! 😛

but man, priyanka looks so young in that foto...it's from their Aitraaz shoot from wat i memba...
