RACIST TELEVISION BROADCAST

On Thursday, September 22, 2005, at approximately 11:30 PM on the David Spade show on the Comedy Central channel, Rob Lowe and David Spade made the following comments:

"If you see someone wearing a turban, don't judge them...just call the Police...this is good advice."

Although this is a comedy show and should be viewed as such, the statement was met by a complete silence and shock from the audience, and was altogether racist, defamatory, derogatory, and insulted one of the most prolific, loyal, and deeply patriotic of America's citizens - Indians and specifically, the Sikhs.

Please sign your name to this Petition and let's get it in front of David Spade and his producers, and make them issue a formal apology. After 9/11 this kind of behavior is reprehensible and troubling, and only serves to further divide this country while strengthening our enemies.

This is so shocking , being a half sikh myself. Though nobody in my family ever wore a turban .
It just shows how limited is their knowledge , and that can be very very dangerous . Such comments could have dangeorous repercussions , putting a sikh with his pagdi in trouble if he enconters any of these jerks who watch this show . I don't think you can make racial comments even as a joke .

yes i watched the show at the time at first aired, i was really shocked that they would go to such extent to humiliate a race of ppl just for laughs. That is just sick.

I have forwarded this message to a few other very popular sites, that has a bulletin board.

This is sick. They shouldn't be allowed to make jokes like these.
