What syleht region? What your barking? Am from syleht and I never heard of Assam in syleht!
Stop trolling!

Sylhet was part of Assam, later annexed with East Bengal. Most Sylhetis don't consider them Bengali. They call them Sylheti and some even say they have nothing to do with Bengalis. They were part of greater Assam.

Sylhet was certainly known by the rest of India, and is even referred to in the ancient Hindu sacred Tantric text, the Shakti Sangama Tantra, as 'Silhatta'. During the next few centuries it was part of the state of Assam.

If Bollywood makes it, then they will give more importance to Indians than the Bangladeshis anyways. So its better Bangladesh makes it or Hollywood does.

Why we Sylhetis insult Non-Sylheti Bangalis as "BENGALI 🤪

Why do Sylhetis (I am Sylheti by the way) insult Bangladeshis from other districts calling them names like "Bengalis" ?
Are we not Bengalis too ? So, how can that word be hurled as an insult ? Strange !

Why is it so difficult for Sylhetis' to speak Bengali

Indian Sylheti

I am an Assamese, A Bengali and a Sylheti. What exactly am I?'

Comment: Fakhrul Choudhury Nagaland University,India

I think we sylhetis should never consider ourselves as Bengali, we should be proud to be a sylheti as we have our own history and a very rich culture...

Monsur Choudhury

We Sylhetis are neither bengali or assamese, but the politicians of Bangladesh and India wont tell us that. We are Sylheti first and foremost. We have our own heritage, history, culture, language and literature.

There is no reason why current generation of Pakistanis should be held accountable for the atrocities their ancestors committed. I am a Bangladeshi and I happen to have plenty of Pakistani friends who have moved on as well. Now if you are actually Bangladeshi, you should move on too. :)
