Chapter 5

Paro was crying hard all the way to the hotel only those words of Rudra were echoing in her mind tm myry liay just ak duty thi ho or raho ge is sy ziada kuch ni...badly main agr tmy kiss kr b liaya to is m to koi glt bat ni...she was yelling in her mind while continuously washing her tears...NO NO NO...OOO GOD NOT AGAIN...WHY ME WHY IT IS ALWAYS ME...

She opened the door room with full of her power left in her legs...Sona and Laila ,who were already up and waiting for Paro to return happily, were shocked to see Paro like that face full of tears, eyes red like blood was oozing from them and her cute pink colored track suit had dirt on it which showed that she must have fallen down in wet soil...

Sona run towards Paro: "Paro...what happened to you??" and hugged her...

Laila (very shocked by Paro's appearance): "Paro you were out for just jogging then what happened to you??"

Paro pulled Sona away from her and went in to the washroom while yelling: "FOR GOD SAKE LEAVE ME ALONE..."and locked herself in it...

Laila and Sona started knocking the door...

Laila: "Please Paro tell us what happened..."

Paro: "WHY CAN'T YOU GUYS LEAVE ME ALONE..." and started the shower on herself...

Laila: "Ok ok ok you just stay calm we will wait until you yourself come out and tell us everything..."

Sona: "Ya we can wait for you but please please please baby stay calm...like always gusy main khud ko mat nuksan pohanchana..."

Sona and Laila were now sitting on the bed with a fear in their mind that what if Paro hurt herself...many worst possibilities popped in to their mind...no no she can't...o God what could have happened to her...

Paro opened the cold water tap of the shower on her head. She wanted to escape from all the bitter memories of past that were coming in to her mind...No...No...why?? Rudra why?? Why did you do this to me?? I thought you were not like Shantanu...That name again brought fire to her head. So she opened the water in full speed to run away from that name but the water was too cold for her soon she felt dizzy and now she was unable to resist old memories to come in to her mind and after some time she fainted...

It was her first day of university and Paro was trying to overcome her fear by becoming over confidant. She was waiting for her friends Sona and Laila all three of them were very fast friends since they were in school. While coming in to the university Sona and Laila's chatter box were totally closed because they were too much nervous. But when they looked towards Paro who was looking very cool, calm and confidant they said "Yar tu ya sb kysy kr lyti h thora confidence hmy b dy dy..."

Paro was walking in the middle of them and she started walking backwards just to show her friends that how to become confidante and there is nothing to be scared of and said: "stay cool it's the key to...Ouch..."

She turned to see what that was then she realized that she got bumped in to a very handsome boy standing in front of her having his hand on his face...

He said: "Sorry please forgive me actually I am new to this university and don't know where my class is. I am wondering around here and there since 8 o'clock but all in vain ulta har kisi k liay problem bn raha hun..."and made a sad face...

Paro (talked in her over confidante voice): "From which department you are?? May b I can tell you where your department is I have already read the whole map of our university and know where each department is..."

The boy (feeling super excited): "Really thank God that was so much relief..."

Paro (when the boy didn't tell his department for some moment she asked again): "So what is the name of your department..."

Suddenly the boy become confident and hold Paro's hand and kissed it lightly on its back and said: "The department of love will you lead me the way...hmmm??" and his lips curled into a huge smile...

She felt like fire of anger had burned her to her core. She pushed him away and slapped him. As she slapped him she heard loud voice of laughter from a group of boys which she hadn't noticed until now.

One boy from the group waved his hand in her direction and said: "Yar Shantanu..." then she realized that the guy from the group was talking to the boy standing in front of her... "I think this is enough dose for you today. What say guys???..." and gave a high five to all the boys around him while laughing loudly.

Sona hold the left and Laila hold the right hand of Paro and started walking towards their department...

Laila (in tensed tone): "Yar what have you done...fazool m panga ly liya..."

Sona tried to overcome her fear and said: "Chor na Laila dykha na tuny kitni batamizi ki us ny or wysy b wok n sa hmary department ka tha kisi ko kya pta chala ho ga..."

But soon she realized the she is wrong. When in the break time everybody in the cafeteria was staring at them and continuously murmuring something. After buying their food they sat down on a bench where only one other girl was sitting Laila was unable to resist herself asked the girl: "Excuse me can you please tell why everybody is staring us??"

Girl replied in a surprised tone: "So you really don't know k aj tm logo ny kya kiya hai??"

Sona got scared that whether they have violated any rule of the university: "No what is it??"

Girl: "Ok your friend" pointed in Paro's direction "has slapped the most famous boy of our department Shantanu Kumar the son of Mr. Kumar who is the owner of "Kumar builders". He is the student of final year and that was just a prank he and his friends were playing with the new comers. He is notorious for flirting with girls everyday he has a new girl in his arms and each girl die to became his girlfriend fir chahy aik din k liay hi kun a ho..." she sighed and then said "look around you all the boys are looking at you with a smiling face and all the girls are staring at you with eyes full of anger because Shantanu has not talked to any girl since you have slapped him..."

Laila got very scared: "See I have told you panga liya hai fazool main ab bhukto..."

Paro was tense but tried to hide her tension: "O come on yar wo kuch b ni kr sakta or agr phr say kuch kiya to m aik or thapr laga dun ge..."and and give a thumbs up to Laila and Sona...

Days and weeks passed and all other girls started hating Paro as Shantanu was still not flirting or even talking to any girl. Whenever he crossed Paro's way she saw his eyes full of sorry and one day he was in front of her and said: "I know k mny jo kuch b kiya wo mafi k laik nahi h mgr Parvati mny aj tk kabi kisi sy sorry nahi kaha aj phli bar himat kr k ayah un please mjy maf kr do..." holding his hand together in front of her.

She moved her face away and said: "Go away mjy ap sy koi bt ni krni..."

Shantanu (with a heavy voice): "Please Parvati forgive me...main tmhari mafi k liay kuch b kr sakta hun..."

Paro walked away and did not listened to any of his sorry. When she sit in the car to go home she saw Shantanu laying down on the road and said: "Agr tm mjy maf ni karo ge to main tmhari gari k nichy apni jan dy dun ge..."

Paro started the car and said: "Go away wrna main to car chala dun ge..."

Shantanu shouted: "Ok then go ahead..."

Paro moved the car and just when the tires were near Shantanu she stopped it and run towards him.

Shantanu: "it means tm ny mjy maf kiya??"

Paro replied in a nervous tone: "Yes yes now please get up..."

Shantanu offered Paro his right hand and asked: "Friends??"

Paro nodded in agreement and shake hand with him. And from that day on she started hanging out with him. Within few weeks they became very fast friends. Laila and Sona felt ignored by Paro. Most of the time Paro excuse for their weekend meeting and sit with Shantanu in the cafeteria during lunch break. Now he was a totally different man there was only one girl in his life which was Paro.

Paro was over whelmed when once he slapped one boy who was trying to flirt with her saying: "Stay away from her. She is my best friend." From that day on he always brought butterflies in her stomach. She told Laila and Sona: "I think I am in love with him but I am afraid to tell him as I don't want to lose his friendship."

And finally there it was the annual function 15 days before final exams. It was a dinner ball party Paro was wearing beautiful red gown and tide her long hairs in to a cute side bun she was looking like a princess. Shantanu was looking very handsome. Paro felt very happy when he asked her to dance with him. While dancing he asked her to come out from the hall as he want to tell her something and she agreed.

Shantanu (with a heavy voice): "Paro I know I was a bad guy I had many affairs before meeting you. I have flirted with many girls but when I meet you I knew it that now I don't want anyone but you. You are an anchor Paro. And today I want to tell you that yes I am in love with you please tell me what is your answer? Will you be mine forever?"

At first Paro thought that all this is a dream she pinched herself but no this was all real and Shantanu was in love with her: "My answer is Yes Shantanu. I am in love with you." And hugged him. He moved her away a little and cupped his hands around her face and come close to her she understand his intension and closed her eyes and on that exact moment there lips met at first it was a soft and gentle kiss but then there was no more gentleness in it and they kissed each other like wild lovers starving for each other's love for ages. Her hands were in his hairs holding them tightly. His hands moved from her face to her back hugging her more tightly and moving her more close to him. At last their lips were apart when both of them were out of breath. Both of them were very happy and again they hugged each other to realize their happiness. Just then Laila came there finding Paro. She became shocked after watching them like this she cleared her throat to gain attention. Suddenly Paro backed from the hug and said: "Laila tu yahn kysy?"

Laila (in an annoyed tone): "I was looking for you. Car a gai hai wapsi k liay ."

Paro: "Ahm han thk hai tu chal main ati hun"

Laila was very irritated: "Nai main tujy sath ly k hi jaun ge"

Shantanu (in a comforting tone): "Koi bat ni Paro hm kal mil lain gay"

Paro: "Thk hai phr bye kal milty hain."

Next day Paro was constantly involved in her phone then Sona asked: "What happened yar??"

Paro (in a tensed tone): "Kuch ni suba sy Shantanu ko call kr rahi hun but us ka number band ja raha hai"

Sona replied while eating her sandwich: "ho sakta hai battery dead ho gai ho tu tension mat ly abi chal hm wysy b class k liay 15 mint late hain"

Laila: "han yar or aj to class b hall room main hai bari baisti hony wali hai aj to sir sy"

When they entered the class room Paro saw Shantanu was sitting in the front row and suddenly stud up to welcome her: "O there you are my sweety come come aj main sab students k liay aik surprise lay k aya hun mgr wo tmhary bagyr to pura ho ni skta ao bytho myry sath"

Paro came and sit next to him in confusion and asked: "Shantanu ya sb kya hai baki sb classes yahn kya kr rahi hn or tm apni class main ku ni gaye or sir kahn han??"

Shantanu replied in a happy tone: "O yar tm kitny sawal puchti ho mny kaha na pury department k liay surprise hai or sir aj chuti py hain. Acha to friends ap logo ka surprise hai ya."

Just then all the lights were turned off and a video started playing on the projector with a voice saying "Yes I love you Shantanu" and Paro was shocked to see herself on the screen kissing Shantanu. Everybody started clapping and saying "Wah Parvati kya performance hai"

Paro felt that someone has thrown her down from a mountain. She started crying and yelled: "SHANTANU YA SB KYA HAI?"

Shantanu smiled and said: "My dear ya hai Shantanu Kumar ko thapper marny ka anjam."

Paro with eyes full of tears said: "NO NO NO BOLO K YA SB JHOOT HAI."

Shantanu started laughing: "Nai dear ya sab jhoot nahi hai. Kab say main is waqt ka intazar kr raha tha pura sal mjy tmhary samny acha bany ki acting krni pari ufff that was a lot of work for me."

Paro started slapping his chest and said: "Ku kiya tm ny myry sath aysa mny to tm say sachy dil sy pyar kiya tha or tm ny b to kaha tha that you love me..."

Shantanu pushed her away: "aaa aram sy main koi pyar wayar ni krta tm sy or tm ny kya socha k m tm sy pyar karun ka o please tmy sachi laga k main Shantanu Kumar tm sy pyar karun ga?? Ary I just hate you from that very first day when you slapped me and from that day on my every next move was fully planned. I always wanted to take revenge from you." He took a deep relaxing breath and said "and finally I feel satisfied"

Paro run from there away from those voices and laughter. Sona and Laila run behind her. While running they reach the parking lot. Sona and Laila took Paro in to their tight friendship hug and started crying with her but at that time there was nothing that can ease Paro pain.

Paro was screaming in pain: "NO NO NO..."

Sona and Laila got scared when after a long time they heard Paro screaming in the bathroom. They rushed towards the door and started slamming it saying: "Paro tm thk to ho kya hua??" and then the sound was gone. Both of them got very tensed then Laila asked Sona to call Rudra immediately.

Sona took her phone and with trembling hands she dialed Rudra's number: "Hello Rudra" Sona said in a nervous tone.

Rudra sensed nervousness in Sona's voice and said: "kya Paro waps a gai hai??"

Sona: "Kya wo tmhary sath thi??..."

Rudra: "yes but tell me what happened"

Sona while crying said: "Paro has locked herself in the washroom from half an hour phly to just pani ki sound thi but abi kuch dair phly she started screaming and the again silence just the voice of the water. We are knocking the door but she is not responding. Please tm jaldi sy a jao we are very tense for her."

Rudra replied in nervous tone: "Ok ok relax and keep knocking the door I am coming" and hang up the phone.

Rudra felt his whole body was trembling with mixed emotion of anger and fear this is all my fault he thought she is doing this all because of me...I just hate myself and run towards the hotel.

Rudra to Laila: "Who is Shantanu?"

Laila: "He is Paro's most bitter past which she never wants to remember"
