Accha, Asma:
Is it necessary to make me cry...and not the delicate wiping of one glistening tear, but the ugly cry, with snot and hiccups and the ruined kajal? Is it really necessary to do this to me, every-time? Because I remember Ankita's writing--how could I not? She pretty much ripped my heart out then, with spare, beautiful prose--and that was when she introduced me to this song, which has been on perpetual loop, along with Bawre Mann from your own work...but then to tie in her incredible, simple writing to the matching images here...
God you are talented. God that's an understatement. But I have to say, work such as this, a creation of the caliber that should by all rights be compensated -- and the fact remains, the only way we can compensate you for this labor of love is through praise, and true, heartfelt thanks.
Creating a VM is such a labor of love, too-- you've probably worked for hours, splicing and choosing, melding and smoothing out the edges, so the seamless 5 minutes of pleasure I just had could blow me away--- and very few people take the art of this to the heights you do. You show an alternate story line, a whole new chapter of Rangrasiya itself--not just romance set to music, but a narrative. People who watch your work (and I have told you this before--that is a LOT of people)--these people enjoy a few minutes of utter perfection that is not just a few scenes melded together, but a gorgeous, evocative story telling of Paro/Rudra.
Forums like this one makes me realize what true talent is, and how different it can be from person to person. How lucky we are to be given free access to people who have something "different" burning inside them, who can create inspiration and emotions out of the basic raw materials available in a Hindi serial. Who can touch others like you just touched me. So, I give thanks to people of vision and who have imagination such as yours.
And of course, the Navarasas series is bringing that out too, among the writers who compose prose and create magic--and the readers who comment on the work because it meant something to them.
And instead of paying for all this pleasure, I get to enjoy it for free, because you, Asma have been generous with your time, talent and passion... and I get to boast, to people in my life who read in awe, or watch in rapt silence--Yeah, so these talented women? These creative geniuses? Friends...
Thank you.
