First this to compare Shiv and Angad is wrong

One cannot compare 2 years of Shiv with 10 min's of Angad .

If Sidharth would have quite BV for this role it would be a wrong move, but he did not and managed both of-course with support from both sides.

He had 2 options
1. Refuse the role n wait for dream role
2. Take up the role and if noticed can get better opportunity. It is big thing to get launced by big production house where people come to watch movie

He does not have a Director/Producer Dad who would launch a movie for him. Small opportunity only give way to bigger opportunity. If he had refused there are many people ready to take up the role.

The best part he got noticed even in 10 mins of his screen presence and people did go to theater to watch him (one of them was me 😃). If they had given role like Parmeet sethi to him may be he Sidharth would have overshadowed Varun my POV.

He did not have anything to loose. But the main thing to see is how he and things turn up or him after this.

But hoping that his next movie has meatier role.

He got noticed and thats good. If he is lucky, he will get more success.
Tv actors have their own fan following and bollywood likes to cash in and also use their talent.
It will benefit both.

On a lighter note, sid is lucky to have anandi and aliya(for a brief while).
