I really thought he would make it big when I watched Mohabattein. It's a shame that he didn't, but he has done some very good small films.

Yes A very underrated Actor . I loved him in MOhabattein , A-Wednesday Mere Yaar ki Shaadi hai & Sp-26 . But Unfortunately He couldn't make it big

"make is big" can be defined in many ways. He has terrific body of work with best performances in munnabhai movies, haasil and maachis. Any actor with so many acting based movie would be considered a celebrated actor in hollywood.
He has given blockbuster movies in punjabi cinema as lead hero, and continue to do meaningful character roles in bollywood. he is a successful producer also and must be doing well financially.

if a movie has jimmy shergill, kay kay menon, boman irani any of these, i will definitely buy the ticket. Reason, they rarely do crap movies.
