Hello everyone!! 😃 thnxx for liking the topic!!! 😳 😳 Ok, so here are some of my points, and at the end of them, there's one more question I have.. 😳
Well, the reason I really started this topic was, after watching the episode in which cadets are getting ready to revolt and fight sort of reminded me the time quite a few months back,when the quota struggle reached India. I had gone to the struggle around Chandni Chowk area and then later, the center, that is, AIIMS. Basically becuase of my cousin. Anyway..one thing I had noticed was that many of the protesters were schoolkids...twelth standard or eleventh standard students. And at the time these protests were on, exams were on our heads, yet, they had come out to protest.
Then the Jessica Lal protest which comprised of college students. Again, xams were on at that time, and yet, these students came out onto the streets to protest. The scenario in both these cases was the same, it was a peaceful protest, but it turned violent when the police began its bombarding with water.
I guess, in many ways, todays youth is highly confused. I see it around me everyday when my own classmates cannot decide what subject to take in eleventh. Too many options, but only one can be chosen. Also, I feel today youngsters have forgotten what the previous generation of youngsters had. Certain basic morals and etiquettes, certain values. Certain things hold no consequence for them today and they're highly unsure of whether what they themselves are doing is right.
But at the same time, they're sure of many things which the previous generation wasn't. I guess mainly because there is more exposure today. A kid of 15 today is much more mature in certain ways than a kid of 15, say 10 or 15 years back.
However, time and again,whether this or the previous generation, youth has shown it can bring a change. Every new generation of youngsters have a fire which lacks in older and wiser people. Impulsiveness in a certain way is helpful.
As for violence, well, just a personal POV, I feel today youth does not resort to violence as before. Protests have been peaceful, and if any violence comes in, it is in the form of unwanted interference.
But on thing whcih I want to ask you all,
Do you think the youth can get violent in retaliation?
This actually sparked off from 4ever urs post about RDB and how the protest was peaceful before the polica and ministers intervened and beat people up. In anger, the youngsters shot the minister himself and when he was being given godly status they confessed their crime and told the truth, only to be killed in the most brutal f ways.
*Do you think this anger within the youth can turn dangerous? &n bsp;
*Do you think peaceful protesting works in this day and age to fight corruption of such high level? Waiting for your replies!! 😃
