Hello all you lovely LRL-ians!!😃 Well, bahut dino se hum sab logon ne kisi major issue par debate shebate nahin kiya hai...as in, u no, we used to have those student-teacher relationship debates??😛 So, today, I was just sitting and thinking, when I remembered Fridays episode and the "revolt" plan of d cadets. That's when it struck me...

Power of the youth- bole toh, youth ka power!

Well, living in Delhi, I've recently seen this huge huge rise in youth power as they say. From fighting for justice for murder victims to protesting against the quota, youth today is doing it all!😊 RDB triggered off a major youth revolution, and in a way,it reminded us about the days of the freedom struggle. Bhagat Singh, Azad,Bismillah Khan, all of them have been revolutionary youth freedom fighters. Mahatma Gandhi himself had always said that youth is a major chuck of the freedom struggle. Even today, majority of the world population is young, in the age group of 13-25 years.

LRL when it started as an army based program showed how 6 youngsters find their true aim in life. Abhi tak kuch major toh nhin dikhaaya, but with this revolt talk, I'm getting hope. Ab KMA mein revolt hoga ya nahin, I don't know, but there were certain things I wanted to ask you guys;

Do you think the youth today is only confused, unaware of what's going on?

Do you think they have a power to bring a change within the society and reform a corrupt system?

Do you think that youth today has a more violent form of protest or a peaceful form of protest?

Now, I don't want this debate stuck only on one country, though the examples I've given are only Indian ones. But throughout the world there are youth movements going on.😳 So, just include everything here. 😃

And ya, no fighting n jhagdas😳...make your point in a proper way. No foul languague and nothing which may hurt someone else's feelings. 😊

Fire away!😃 I'll post my points soon enough!😳

thought provoking topic Preru👏👏okay a brief explaination I can come up with here is:

Do you think the youth today is only confused, unaware of what's going on?

to some extent it is right - most of us and influenced by west so much so that they just want to live like west people, so it starts from mixing up Hindi & English to make it Hinglish😕 - it is just the begining - they always find it difficult to select one language as for them both are prime languages... it is wrong to blame only that" kinda people but the rate in which education in India is getting common, most of the pupil try n speak like Americans and gradually they try to adopt everything - I bet their mind always swing between either should I do this or that...😆 so they have 100s of confusions in themselves, they hardly try to look at the problems around them - I believe.

Do you think they have a power to bring a change within the society and reform a corrupt system?

only one thing I wanna say here yess" if they want" they can change this world.....

Do you think that youth today has a more violent form of protest or a peaceful form of protest?

to be frank youth's protest is not violent compared to the firing policemen come up with on every proteting group - it is beyond violence - they just want to kill all the people coming in their way or not obeying to their orders -there are various examples of voilence created by our policemen :(

😆😆😆well..to a certain extent ur rite Sarah..it seems youngsters today have a huge influence of the west..but I think its only for certain people..coz there are many youngsters, college goer n skool kids who prefer "Indianness" as they say..and as we see, Indian things are also suddenly "hip" as they say..from clothes to food...even the music...but then, this isn't just about influence....like, even in other aspects...like deciding a future career or even deciding subjects for eleventh...I'm in tenth now, and I see my frnds confused and unsure everyday about what to do...when "live for the moment" comes in...they don't think about the future at all, till the very last moment..

Do you think they have a power to bring a change within the society and reform a corrupt system?

only one thing I wanna say here yess" if they want" they can change this world.....

so, u think dey're not like, interested..? actually..d thing is..most of d time, youth interest cums in only wen deres hype..n den dey show dey can do nething..but only if pushed 2 it...

this i completely agree..when I was out dere during d quota protest, i saw dat police firing water at everyone..the scene was pathetic to say d least..

cuming back 2 d main questions..ur rite...at least in dat respect, no one takes to violence nemore...every protest has been peaceful..

excellent topic prerna. u always come up with something different 👏 . love u 4 dat.😛

1.d young brigade has proved it time and again dat dey can change d world. remember our freedom fighters 👍🏼 ????? dey were mostly young people.but dese dayz d youth r only more vulnerable, bcoz dey have so many options b4 dem leading/misleading dem 2 different paths. now we don't have any prominent idol b4 us 2 follow except 4 d film or sport stars which is definitely not a satisfying news as far as responsibility 2 d country is concerned😭. 2dayz youth have 2 gather strength and courage 4 a protest/revolt only after getting inspiration frm an RDB or LRMB. we definitely r confused and frustrated as far as d goings on in our country is concerned. 😭

2.2dayz youth definitely have d potential and power 2 change d world but wht is important is, their power & potential need 2 b channelised 2wards d right way.

3.d young people alwayz have fire within dem. so its quite natural dat dis fire when active, will burn all dat comes in its way. but it is also true dat violence is not d last word 4 protest and dat is why RDB has dat scene where people protest silently with lighted candles in deir hands.

Hey prerna…gr8 topic
I wish I hv the time to write on all questions..but for first ..my say is…

Do you think the youth today is only confused, unaware of what's going on?
I would not say that they r only confused…yes to some extent they r.. but they alone r not responsible for it. Every person/ youth is at once separate…they hv different goals, different aspirations, different interests so..there r many things that keep their minds occupied.. High levels of expectations & competition keep them confronted with the issue of what shape their life will assume. So….all these things play an important role in making them least interested abt what's going on…. But as a whole today's youth is much more aware regarding their rights & their duties. They know what's right & what's wrong… the need is to direct their consciousness towards right path.

& 4ever urs… 👏 👏 must say..very good answers…
