Rithvik Dhanjani joins the cast of MTV Fanaah

MTV Fanaah, a show from the house of BBC Worldwide Media, is being much talked about in the media and also in the entertainment fraternity.

The vampire-human love story starring Karan Kundra, Ratan Rajpoot, Chetna Pande and Anita Hassanandani, in pivotal roles, have raised the level of curiosity amongst television watchers.

And as per information just received, quite a looker and dancer Rithvik Dhanjani has also been signed for the project.

Rithvik, a lad from Dubai, came to Mumbai to make it big in the world of entertainment. With his talent, hard work and humility, he has successfully managed to carve a niche for himself.

He has shown that he can excel both at the reality (Nach Baliye) and daily soap (Pavitra Rishta) formats.

So what role would he enact in Fanaah?

Call it strange or rather a case of smart casting, Rithvik will be seen as a werewolf in the show, named Vidhyut.

Ring a bell? He was seen in an identical avatar in Star One's Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani (Balaji).

It seems Rithvik is the first choice when it comes to playing a wolf on screen. But will it interest audience to see him again in the same role? Only time will tell. And of course, you can share your views in the comment section.

We buzzed Rithvik for a confirmation. He did confirm the development but kept too busy shooting to divulge any more info.

The series will be split in parts. First part will have a finite number of episodes. After the end of part one, the series will return after a break with part two to continue telling its tale. It might run with continued seasons depending on audience response.

When we spoke to Vikas Gupta, Programming Head of MTV he said, "A lot of efforts have been put in the show and we have been receiving a fabulous response. I would like viewers to watch the serial and give their feedback."

Fanaah is set to launch on 21 July (2014).
