Yes, the misunderstanding is that Aaliya thinks Purab loves Pragya but really he loves Bulbul.
RaBul can't get married because Purab never told Bulbul about Aaliya and never told Abhi about Bulbul before they all misunderstood each other. Also it is a very new relationship, they weren't at the marriage stage yet!
Also Aaliya doesn't love Purab, she is just furious that he would dare fall in love with another girl. She told him "you are not my love, you are my zidd and I am going to destroy you." She is very selfish and is using her brother to hurt Purab. She thinks if Pragya marries Abhi, Purab will be hurt, and he won't be able to have what he wants just as she (Aaliya) can't have Purab since he got involved with someone else.
Personally I don't believe Pragya loves Suresh. They were very close friends and she built dreams of a life with him when their marriage was being prepared but I don't think she was in love with him. In my opinion what Suresh feels for Bulbul is also not love but a kind of infatuation. But to be honest I don't like Suresh, I don't find him interesting, so I don't consider him a main character of the show. That is my opinion, others like him and can give you a different view.
Likewise I don't think Abhi loves Taanu. They are in a relationship and Abhi likes her, is attracted to her,and believes she suits his status. He is willing to marry her because his Daadi wants him to get married but I don't see that he is in love with her.
